I love your dream, and believe you can make it a reality, (apart from those fabulous shoes that help you to fly ... I'm having those!) We all have dreams, and some achieve them. My dreams ran out of time to achieve them, even running through green fields is beyond me now. But you can! I really enjoyed reading this poem, it was a real delight. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Nice poetry. Good, natural rhyming.
Do you actually sing in your dreams? I have 'never' heard of a singing super hero. Wouldn't that be a rip!
Best wishes and sweet dreams. (smiley face here)

Thanks, Wayne, for wishing me sweet dreams. I appreciate your kind words and yes, I sometimes sing in my dreams but only my cat, Sunny can hear me.
Best wishes to you too.

I love this poem of dreams and hopes for your future! Shoes with special powers, one foot above the ground - that's running, alright!
Lovely rhymes to express your day and night dreams. As they say: see it, and it will come true.
Continue to see your future racing to and reaching the finish line:-)

A flash of inspiration is just like that. it could be a dream like yours that would inspire you to write, like you did in this poem. The choice of words is appropriate to the message you intended for the readers,

Thank you for the insightful review. It was in several of my dreams, both day and night ones. I appreciate your kind words.
I like that phrase, a flash of inspiration.

I know your future awaits you and I pray for that day soon. I know this has nothing to do with your poem, but it reminds me of my second son. Jeff was my wild child. Everybody has one. A major highway US 30 went through town. My hometown, Morrison, Illinois, was so small it only had one stoplight. Jeff was 3 years old. His dad, my husband, Brian and Jeff were walking across US 30. Jeff yanked his hand from his dad's grip, stood in the middle of the highway, with a semi-truck coming toward him, through his hands up in the air and yelled, "May the force be with me." Brian dragged him to the other side and yelled, "What you doing??" Jeff answered, "My force field will protect me." Brian spanked his bottom. "Did that hurt?" Jeff's response as tears streamed down his face, "Yes." Brian being a practical Dad, asked, "Why didn't your force field protect you from that?" Raising four boys was fun. LOL

Dreams of running, and walking can come true sometimes. Think about the movie Forest Gump; he was handicapped and then out of the blue, he became a famous runner. So never give up.

Thanks, Rosemary, I loved Forrest Gump! He is an inspiration to me as well as to a lot of folks who are disabled in one way or another.
I hope to follow in his lead.

As a child growing up, I can honestly say I was the swiftest runner in my school, and once won a whole dollar by winning an inter-school sprint by a big margin, I too dream of those days, and when I get to Heaven I will be that boy, beautifully written dear friend, blessings Roy

Hi Jesse,
This is a nicely rhymed statement of your literal dreams of walking and running. It can also be a metaphor for chasing any dream.
Keep writing and stay healthy
My this dream come true soon.
Happy Holidays.

Thanks, Joan for seeing the insightful conclusion or this being a metaphor as well as an actual dream. I hope my dream comes true real soon.

You're welcome, Jesse. I try to look for more than one meaning in poems I read.

Interpreting poetry is a great way to find the second or maybe third meaning the poet intended.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Have a good Sunday and the rest of the week, Jesse.

This poem, Dreams of Running, is a powerful one as we know that you are currently trying to get back to having that kind of independent mobility. More to you to get out of the dream and back on the trail.

I am working on it, Bill. Dreams can inspire us to achieve the greatest events of our lives. I will be back on the trail in no time.

Way to go Jesse! Keep up the optimism, and go for it, as far and as fast as you can, but as I've said before, don't push things too hard. Hugs kate xx
