Well, now you've done it. You made me cry. This is such a sweet story, but sad they had no more time together. But it's the kind of love she will carry with her the rest of her life. By the way, this song is one of my favorites.

Thank you so much, Yvonne. If I make my husband cry, then I know I have succeeded. He could hardly finish this one. It should probably come with a warning: Bring Kleenex!
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

This is a sweet, sweet story:):) I like how you smoothly moved from Gus' dialogue to Alice's. It like you showed both sides of the love story. I, myself, suffered emotional abuse, edging toward physical abuse. I am now remarried to the most wonderful man ever. I am cheering for Gus and Alice getting together before he passes. Love it!

My Gus is done I met
on a Christian dating site! I
never thought I would do
that, but glad I did! He's the
sweetest man ever! I am good
to you because your writing is
good! It feels comfortable in
my brain, like a warm blanket
that has a story on it. Makes
sense to me anyhow!
Love your spunky and cheery
self!
Have a great day!
Tina

Hi Sally, your story is exquisite and you write really well - very professional. The story is lovely, so bittersweet, especially the last few lines. But there was sweet humour between Gus and Alice despite the situation. I never read the stories on FS. I came on the site for the poetry, but this story of yours has been an exception. A little typo that occurs when writing long pieces ' The both laughed for a moment then' add 'y'. Hardly worth a mention. Good story, very well written. Warm regards Dorothy xx

An amazing story, Sally. Luckily I'm alone today at the computer so my wife can't see me tearing up. I think I've developed a weepy gene in my sixties that sends waterworks that I never had before. A great vignette that follows two November lovers to sad/happy departure.

Dear Bill, I am just so thrilled by your response. Thank you so much. I love to see this side of men. My husband cries over these stories, too. Actually, many of my male fans confessed misting eyes.
I am deeply honored by the outstanding marks, and so glad you stopped by for one of my love stories.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :))

Okay, so from now on, these get put off until the END of the day.... I cannot be getting into my truck with red eyes and such! Ugh! :) A beautifully sorrowful yet happy offering for the morning.... my eyes, however, could have done without the trigger: been holding some in for a while now so, I'm gonna go cry them out and be done...! Thanx for that lovely story, my lady! ;) Yvette

If I made you cry, my work here is done. Yep, reached my goal for January 2020!
Seriously, I am always glad when I see your name and a review from my friend. I am so pleased you enjoyed this one. I appreciate the shower of stars and kind compliments, too.
Waterproof mascara. Have it applied and extra Kleenex in your truck. Easy-squeezy. ;) :)
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xoxo

Gotta say, I haven't worn mascara (except for special events) since my youngest was still in arms! ;) I'm actually down to just lipstick now -- I shall never give up my lip colors!! ;) :) Take care, my lady!! ;)
