In my opinion, I loved this poem my first read and even more today, if that is indeed possible. It is exquisite and flawless in its fluid rhyming rhythm and a delight to read, obviously extremely relevant at this unhappy and reverent time. We have lost not only a gifted writer, but an exceptional lady, and I can only express my gratitude for having known her at all. I will deeply miss our connection and treasure those experiences always...Eve

Penned beautifully and I would expect nothing less from this now past and amazing artist.
I used the word art cuz you cowards know how to use the words to create something on a canvas that only God could do.
...
I know of Phyllis Stewart but I wasn't one of her buds but I did review quite a lot of her pieces and she returned the favor few times.
...
just like all the other greats that have passed here on fanstory it seems like the good ones go first.
...
and we all know that she's doing the exact same thing right now in heaven teaching other inspiring writers how to write.
...
Thanks,
And God bless.

Hi Katy,
I was so sorry to hear about your mother, a terrific writer. My sincere condolences to you and your Dad, and the entire family. I'd like to bring you one small offering. This Bible verse has also consoled me in my distress. My father just passed away on New Years Eve at 3:40 pm. He was 95 years old, but had dementia to some extent. He didn't know me. He flushed his dentures down the toilet a couple of years ago because they bothered him so much, so his mouth was sunk in from the base of his nose to his chin. And I know your mother suffered too. Death is not for cowards.
I often wondered how we will look when we enter Heaven's realm. If we die old, will we look old in Heaven? Well, listen to what the Bible says. In Job 33:25... "His flesh shall be fresher than a child's; he shall return to the days of his youth."
I hope this will comfort you and your Dad.
Blessings,
Kimbob

I am so sorry to hear this sad news...This poem speaks for her, and will always be remembered...May Almighty God be with all of the family, and give them peace...Phyllis was surely a part of the Fanstory family, and our hearts are truly saddened...

How can this be anything but a six? Katy, I hope you have your mother's passion, because you write beautifully. She was very special, but of course you know that. My prayers are with you and your Dad, and I will always remember her for her poetry, her kindness, and her willingness to help. God bless you.

Phyllis's writing was always a pleasure to read. I learned much from her work. She will be sorely missed. Fly high and with peace, my friend. Your family was blessed to have you and now your legacy.
