Very unique format to change the words into matching equations. This did a great job of supporting your theme of being childlike! I agree that everyone should strive to keep that part of themselves alive.

Thank you, I try to keep child-like, in my old age.

Hello amada,
what an interesting formula you have going right to the end of your unique poem, about the real fellings of a child growing up.

Smile... I enjoy reading free verse but find that sometimes the flow is jagged, not true with this piece. Excellent imagery and well done!!

I am glad to see your posting regularly again. I liked your playfulness with the formulas, proving that you are in touch with your inner child. Thank you for reminding us about how to be a child--your sun as a "ball of fire" is a perfect example. Well done! -Joan

You really do capture the spirit of Stephen Hawkins, Chief Scientist/ Humanist of "The Theory of Everything. Your equations fit though one makes me a little uncomfortable too.
Good luck in the contest!

Amada,
You are so talented. The message of this poem has been on my mind so much lately. I am a young-five teacher in the U.S. We constantly fight for our students rights to play and question and imagine while being told that direct instruction is what leads to "successful students". I feel so fortunate to spend my days with these amazing people who we can learn so much from! One question/suggestion: do you mean "swallowed" instead of swallow in the last stanza?

You are so right. It isn't about the answers, it is about the questions, and the life being lived that provokes them. To go back and live as a child again. But you can still play, still find wonder and magic, dreams and joy. It is still ok to laugh, to make believe and wish on stars. Thank you for sharing. Good luck in your contest.
