What a sweet poem. I'm sure your wife enjoyed it. I like the theme of the sunshine. She brought it into your life is so touching. "Our love grew like a spouting tree" was a nice line.

No, I didn't want to kill her. I am a bad cook!

My Momma could burn water. I took over the Monday- Friday cooking when I was eight. My momma made the driest scrambled eggs you ever choked down. She burnt toast.
She did not like to cook and it showed. Saturday she made childogs because you could not ruin them, and Sunday dad made roast. I made tuna fish sandwiches, spaghetti, lemon chicken, and casseroles. No Burning. "-)

My ma and pa. (daddy's parents) taught me how to cook ,can, freeze and dry, from the time I was little. But, I cannot cook good fried chicken. It is either perfectly golden outside, but raw inside, or cooked perfectly inside but burnt outside. I have a screw loose about this. And it is a shame, cause I do love it. I just Baked a big lemon chicken. Delicious. But, I would trade it in a hot second for fried chicken. Karen
