Hey Rachelle.
While I enjoy the story, I especially appreciate your initial premise: the victim is the true culprit. It is particularly true with Bobby and the horseshoe. What Danny's problem was he never finished anything. Therefore, he didn't believe the horseshoe will come looking for him. That's a different bullying. It's not smart. Bobby and Danny were adversaries. Larry and Linda were not. It's interesting how people apply similar behaviors, even with different motives, to achieve the same outcome.
My favorite line in the story is, "He told me to!" said Linda. Sadly, that reflects the current state of our world's social climate. Always shift blame so you can avoid taking responsibility. Your story gave perfect examples of how not to take responsibility.

Ohhhh yes! Blame shifters have honed their skills to an art form, it seems. But - especially the old ones - have had so many decades' worth of practice, right?

Thank you for this illuminating review, which I always appreciate and rely on from you.

    Hey Rachelle.
I've known a lot of them over the years, and guess what, I still do.
