Debi,
This is a beautiful winter wonderland. You alway do such a great job with your poems. We had a winter wonderland here in Texas on Thursday and Friday. YUK. We got at least 6 inches and for us that is unusual. We were all stranded because Texas doesn't have snow removal equipment.

That's some beautiful writing, Debi. A great poem and picture combination. But you can keep all that snow up in your part of the country, because I hate everything about it. LOL. We got a foot a week ago, and four inches yesterday, both a rarity for us. And I wouldn't care if I never saw snow again. Thanks for sharing.

LOL, Ric, did you read my last stanza? That was supposed to tell you that I hate it too. I just purposely said all those lovely things to build up to the last stanza. If you didn't please read that one. LOL. And then you will see that I want you to keep it all. Hahahaha! Of course I am kidding. Thanks for your fun review. Always good to joke around with you. And I did know that is what you were doing, in a serious way. LOL. (Big Smile). Love, Debi

It's nice when we can pick at each other. What would the world be like if we didn't have those who make us smile. You're a sweetheart! Ric

Debi dear,
Wow! I just love this one and the visual stimuli it evokes. I see the abominable snowman here:
The snow will dress all of the trees
The covered branches are the sleeves
One wears a snowy white top hat
Abominable diplomat
This is FABULOUS, wonderfully written and presented, my friend. Brava!
Sending you my best today as always, and Love & Blessings across the miles!

I remember how as a child I couldn't wait for it to snow, the deeper the better. As I grew into an adult, I loved to see the world change into a dazzling paradise, magical beneath the adorned trees, bushes and hills. Now, I stand in my window, shivering and wondering how I am ever going to get out of my driveway. It's still a beautiful sight but comes with so much strife.
Smiles, Carol

I like the picture that radiates the winter snow. Each year many are embracing the snow of winter. I like that you vision snow as "A winter paradise".

-Great artwork and nice presentation, Debi.
-I wonder if there is a spot in the US that isn't cold!
-You wrote a good poem about it.
-A very good first verse with a bit of romance.
-The sun is shining bright in verse two.
-I like the image "Abominable diplomat."
-I like the twist in the last verse.
-Very well done. Hope it's warm soon.

Hi Debi:-) What a great poem for someone in Minnesota to write. I especially like the stanza where the trees are dressed, branches are sleeves, and there's a snowy top hat. "Abominable diplomat" - love it!
Yes, eventually all of that pretty snow turns to muddy, wet slosh. But we always enjoyed it while it lasted.
Hope you're keeping warm up there!
xo

You made me smile with your romantic view of the snow and then reality dawns in your last stanza Debi. This time of year we have to embrace the weather because we have no other choice. I enjoyed your lighthearted post, love Dolly x x x
