Thank you Pam. I very much enjoy and learn much from your review comments. They illustrate that you actually read and consider the content, not just the form. Nonsense dressed up to look pretty is still nonsense.

You are very welcome, nomi, and I appreciate your reply. It means a lot to me. I agree with you about nonsense. My motto is good writing deserves an equally good review.

I'm a big fan of God, too. I see your trust in man's medicine has you somewhat questioning their intents. I, too, question certain practices being done as well. At the age of 70, I might consume six pain killers within a year span. As you stated too many pills could give other health problems. Times I take them, what a result: bring total relief.

I never intended to imply that none of big Pharma's medicine was effective. I too consume their products. I am saying that their purpose for being is profit over complete effectiveness. If their product was completely effective, their profits would dry up overnight.

I love this, you've captured so much within. I agree with you so much on the pharmas and shoving pills down your throat at a hefty price that have such terrible side effects. My mantra is a dip in the sea to keep healthy, it was 11degrees into he water this morning, very fresh! I really like your opening ,'like a fine chef with a fondu' I couldn't help but giggle. Well done

Thank you so much. Believe it or not, that line was the impetus that sparked the creation of the piece. I thought, "What can I do with that statement?" I appreciate you great comments.

I was not sure where you were going with this piece Nomi. Then you made that strong, brilliant finish.

I do believe the world is swinging back towards natural remedies!

Thank you Douglas, This was another poem of mine that sort of wrote itself. I just took a seat and rode it out, hoping to see where it would take me.

Hi Nomi. I loved the illustration of our Maker in His garden. Yes, He gave us inquiring minds to go further and help cure humanity. But, most cures come from His handiwork. Not to say man's pills are not needed. Some think a pill will fix their ailments, they don't think to look for the source. Physician heal thyself but don't be silly about it. Thank you my friend. God is good! And he offers his blessings to everyone without stipulations. His only request is that we believe in his word. I loved the poem. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Carol. When I look at your big smile, I cannot help but smile right back at your image. I have always believed that if you want people to smile at you, try smiling at them. If you want friends, try being friendly first.

This is a very nicely written and true poem. God doesn't make mistakes and most of our illness come from the mistakes we make. He has put he put the cures for anything that might ail us into nature and he gave man a brain that is creative allow us to discover and use what he has already given us

That was my point exactly. We constantly find that a cure for our various illness are just waiting for us to discover the. How can I be sure, the thing that made us sick is here on Earth, so the thing that will cure us must also be right here on Earth.

Yes, but who is to say that God didn't create the pharmaceutical pills you take? If he created everything and everyone then there are no mistakes. I understand what you are saying but maybe you try too hard to say too much in one poem. This is written well and has no spags that I could see. The picture you chose is over the top, but it works nonetheless.

Thank you Jesse. Please understand my point, man can choose to do or not do things that make him sick. Scientists can choose to heal us or just make us feel better. Businessmen know that curing an illness is good but does not satisfy the bottom line. Therefore, make the patient feel better but needs to replenish that which makes him feel better, but do not heal him completely and never see him again.

I am fortunate to have good doctors who only prescribe medications that help me. Illnesses, like diabetes, need constant help with medications to stabilize, rather than heal the illness so there is no gain from using pharmaceutical companies to profit from their pocketbooks.
I see your point. I happen to feel differently about medications.
    Enjoy the day.

Thank you, but please let me be clear. Most of us have no clue as to what natural ingredients to use, where to find them, or how best to use them. So big Pharma is not totally at fault. I use their services often myself.
reply by Jesse James Doty on 22-Nov-2024
    Okay. Thanks for the clarification.
Let's call a truce. We both make excellent points.

Waoh, so creative and true. From the first line of your poem to the last, I read with wrapped attention. Your message can not be faulted, like the Creator's work, it stands out. From the conspiracy of the pharms, to man's discoveries of God's natural wonders, to the mistakes of God that contain no error that leads to harm, you penned with a master's touch. Well done. I enjoyed every line of the poem. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful poem, Nomi and so true. God is everything we need and He gave us brains to also help ourselves. The problem is that so few actually use those brains in the way intended. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Marilyn. We as people who are not science majors, most of us do not know how to find the natural cures that are out there. Some of the people we trust to inform us are actually charlatans who want to take advantage of us. So, knowing who to trust becomes an issue as well.
