You are welcome, Paul. I appreciate your reply.

Cold and snow are perfect reasons to roll over and stay in bed and forgo the early morning workout.
Great artwork to complement your fun twenty syllable poem.
Blessings

Thanks, Janet. Some days that bed can be really comfortable.

Yes here's one for our times as we struggle to maintain our healthy regimes it is good to once in a while forego the early morning run when there's 'a foot of snow.'

Thanks, Zanya. Sometimes it only takes a few inches.

LOL I would forego my morning workout in a foot of snow myself. Of course, here in Texas they'd close down the entire for weeks maybe even months. LOL I enjoyed reading this contest entry. Good luck with the contest.

Thanks, Barb. We used to get a lot of snow here on the Maine coast, but lately it has been much less.
-
We've actually had snow the past few years, but it isn't enough to write home about.

Twenty right on the button. A great picture also. Good job.
An easy read that does say a lot.
I hate running on a clear, dry day. A foot of snow-oh no.

Thanks, Lil. We usually don't get much snow until Christmas. Then the white stuff sticks around until March.

Great job Paul.
You hit the 20 syllables on the button and the story is outstanding. I agree wholeheartedly with you. The poem is funny and makes great sense. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks, Robert. The poem is funny, but the frost bite is not.

You're welcome, Paul. I agree.

Hi Paul, I don't blame you to forgot your morning run when there's a foot of snow. I would definitely stay inside with the fire on. Good luck with this great poem for the contest. Ulla:)))

Thanks, Ulla. Do you get any snow in Spain?
-
It depends where you are in Spain. Sierra Nevada is the highest mountain and it's great for skiing. Inland and Northern Spain and the Pyrenees get loads of snow. I'm at the mid, south end of the Mediterranean and we hardly ever see snow, even in the mountains where I am looking down at the Med. We grow citrus trees, olive trees and almond trees.

Seems legit! :)
I think it is often too easy to get so wrapped in the depths of a poem that forgetting simplicity is often done.
You neatly capture a simple moment, a mood.
Nicely done

Thanks, Tim. The short ones are a little tough for me.

Oh goodness, please don't rush the white stuff. We have been having an unseasonably warm start to autumn here, and I am sure there is going to be a snowfall soon. "A reason to stay in bed" for sure!
This is a little charmer -- indeed, forego the run when there's a foot of snow, but your rhyme doesn't go unnoticed -- in a twenty syllable poem, no less! Well done. A contender, certainly! Best of luck. :)

Thanks, Dawn. I'm sure that Toronto will get its share of the white stuff.

An excellent entry for the 20 syllable poem contest. LOL I like your poem and I can appreciate your way of thinking! I find that the best thing to do when there is a foot of snow, is to stay under the covers and avoid running at all costs! Good luck in the contest.
