It sounds like Debbie and Glenn have wintered and summered each other. This is a nice tribute to a couple who has focused on each other rather than everything else. You've done a nice job here, Helen.

I love how you said "wintered and summered." In the First Nations Bible I'm reading, they always say xx number of winters - not years.
    Thanks so much, Liz!

I made sure I put that in the Be Wee series also for her to measure time as cold dark days or something like that. It was cold, the idea of winters be did not know the name winter so I had to do something that would be the idea of winter which is Native American

I made sure and maybe we series that she would refer to time passing as cold dark nights or something I can't remember what she did say. I've known this to be the way the Native Americans measure time so I wanted Bea to tell time that way also.

Fifty years, five decades, is a lifetime. So many things have changed, but not the love between Debi and Glen. As they blessed others, God blessed them. I especially liked the message of your last three lines...their bond of love grows stronger and longer with God.

Congratulations Debi and Glen.

Helen.
This is awesome. I enjoyed how you mirrored the 50 years to the mighty steadfast oak. Then briefly gave us a moment to reflect the length of time 50 years has spanned with the Rubik cube and those post-it notes.

Well done. They are going to adore your poem.

John

A beautiful tribute to a love that has lasted half a century - and will continue to be strong. Bring married for 50 years is no small feat! Your poem highlighted their steadfastness - like a string oak tree.
