I guess the answer is to always just pick ourselves up, dust our butts off, and remember their truly is a bright side. I'm a true sucker for the bright side of everything. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks again for your sweet words for my poem and I am honored by your shiny bright side six stars, and appreciate you, my very dear friend. Love, Debi
And just so you know, you almost got nominated today again for the reviewer one, but I remembered that you didn't want them. Please let me know if I have you mistaken you for someone else. Thanks again..

You're right. I never get enough votes to ever be a factor in the contest, so I don't like for you to waste them on me. I'd rather you give them to someone who has a chance in the contest. But it's sweet of you to even consider giving me one. I appreciate your kindness! :-)

Debi, you chose some excellent artwork to accompany your poem. That was the first thing that caught my attention. I think the poem does explain your eternal optimism. It also occurred to me that maybe the Devil has messed with you enough, and since he isn't winning, he might go on to greener pastures. Terry.

Wonderfully written nice flowing rhyme to change our grsy skys to clear and sunny blue skies. Your choice of alternate line rhymes sets a perfect theme. The photo is beautifully matched too. Thank you for sharing your poem. Bless you

Very elegant, colorful presentation on this poem. Favorite lines on this faith-based poem are: That's when I will dust off my heart/And I'll go where I can confide
Thanks for sharing a fine read.

Simply beautiful....How often when we get overwhelmed and buried beneath everyday things, we forget to remember that God is always by our side if only we look for the light... the bright side. Very well done!

When Jehovah God allowed your life to come into existence and to continue despite your various challenges, he allowed a bright light to come into view for all of those who adore and treasure you, myself being one of them, to see one of the brightest lights in the world. God bless you my dear, not so Little Sister.

If you got any sweeter, I don't know what I would do. Y'know what blues didn't leave me last night, they left today from the awesome support and caring words you speak. I appreciate you so very much. You help chase the blues away.
Thank you, my sweet brother. Love, Debi

Hi Debi!!!!
First of all, that artwork is incredible and just brightened my day. So, whether or not you feel better, I sure do. And then the poem, oh how I feel we can all relate. Melancholy has a nasty way of thrusting itself into our lives. Thank you for showing us a way out.
Much love,
Rhonda

You are so right about the prayer. I was struggling with some family issues and worry about them, then felt such peace after praying last night and this morning about it.

Debi, this is such an uplifting poem. Yes, we all have that "feeling" every now and then. I am glad you accept that as part of our living but in the end you do not dwell on the problems but ask "To once again see the bright side." Well done.

Our bright side is our hope in the Lord, I think. When we slide away into the shadows of hopelessness, despair, discouragement or despair, it is the Lord that rouses us to hope and joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength and will always pierce the darkness.
"... Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
I am blessed reading this, my friend. A virtual ******six!
Love, blessings, and abundant joy to you and yours today and always.

Hey sweetie pie, thanks for including the Bible verses that I read every time I need to have that comfort that makes all the difference when we walk thru the storm and doubt.
Also thanks for the virtual six stars! Means just as much as the real one.

Aw, such a fantastic way to deal with the clouds that obscure our vision. I may have told you about how I gratitude journal. They all start out with me bitching about what went wrong or how I've been wronged in some way, but by the end of the entry, where I go to write my prayer of thanks, it's like seeing the top of the mountain. All that climbing through blizzards and bad weather and it's perfect and sunny at the top. Great attitude. Gretchen
