Thank you for sharing Peter Max with us. To be honest I have never heard of him. That being said, the only artwork I've collected is the painting of my boys when they were little and now my granddaughters. I have one of Charlotte's paintings on my refrigerator. I enjoyed reading and learning about this man.

Barbara, thank you for reading. Terry.

Your writing always touches me in some way and your humour is never far away. Of all things in the home, art is the special one for me and can alter my mood in an instant. That Flower Blossom Lady is a wonderful memento of Zoe and the colour she brought into your life and garden. With that joyful reminder, she'll always be close, Terry. Take care Debbie

Debbie, thank you for the six stars and your very kind review. If you are interested you can google Flower Blossom Lady by Peter Max and you can see images of it. It was a favorite or his and he did many with variations of color. Terry.

I'll do that, Terry. What a treasure you have!

Your pieces are very grounding. I see art pretty much the same way. If I paint a piece, I will feel a strong emotional attachment. Doesn't matter if the art blatantly shows the message or its just the vibe. Art can be therapy sometimes. Gretchen

Gretchen, thank you for the six stars and your wonderful thoughts on art. If you like you can see Flower Blossom Lady by Peter Max by googling it. He had lots of versions all similar. Terry.

I was one step ahead of you. I already did Google it. Lol. The colors are so vibrant. Good choice. My favorite painters are Norman Rockwell and Andrew Wyeth. Both bring me peace. Gretchen

And I do like both of those guys!

I had never heard of Peter Max, so for
Me, this was an interesting and informative read.
It is funny when actions can make others assume you are gay. I have always been very neat and tidy (attribute left over from the Marines) and this as caused people to think I was gay a couple of times. Too funny.
Anyways, I think that anything that brings joy and color into your life should be embraced.

I don't know this artist, and judging from your illustration, I'm not sure I could live with his work on my walls. I will content myself with going to a museum, or coming to visit you. However, your tale was skillfully woven and I can see the advantage of choosing a special piece of art to celebrate Zoe's special birthday. Nicely described. kay

This story, Angels and a High Mountain, is an interesting biography that shows the readers a lot in such a short piece. Five years since Zoe's passing and you seem to be going strong. Blessings.

This was awesome. And since I have seen your art, it made it even more interesting. I also remember that story that you told about. If I remember you went back and bought one when your (gay) friend wasn't with you. I love the Angel art and I love the meaning behind all of them. And I love the things that you always do for Zoe, even when she isn't there. You honor her more in death than some men honor their live wifes. You should be proud of yourself for that. I know Zoe knows and sees. The video was gorgeous and put it all together and you have a lot of our big Terry heart and talent. I loved hearing all about this. Thank you my friend.

Terry! I did know you were an art collector but had no idea inclinations were floating around the art galleries that you were gay! Haha! Not that that's all I took away from your piece.
Your writing is always captivating and exciting, and I believe we all know you better than we know ourselves. And I say that with all the admiration I can muster. You're a gem, my friend! Best, JohnC

Fascinating. Aren't you the cosmopolitan art collector! Sorry! Just so interesting in the way you write this and tell the reader all about the artist and about the things he painted. I'm jealous of your walls.
