-Great photograph, thanks for sharing it and the notes, Debi.
-How amazing to be able to see this.
-You wrote a good story about it with a good opening hook.
-Very good use of color imagery and the comparison to
"mysterious scarves."
-A good conclusion, as well.
-Good luck in the contest.

Pam, you are so sweet. I thank you so very much for your lovely review and kind words for my Northern Lights Post. It's so appreciated, my dear friend!
-
You are very welcome, Debi. Do you get the Northern Lights often?
-
Actually we do, but rarely get them so colorful
-
Thanks for sharing. It has to be amazing each time you see them.

Debi, this a beautifully written piece of flash dribble. When one stops and thinks about it, that was exactly what Miss Aurora was doing...a bit of flash dance, that was very creatively expressed in your writing. I have always wanted to see the aurora borealis, but alas, I am too far south and too dang old to travel north. Excellent writing. Terry.

Of course we've never seen these lights, although we've heard of them. Elaine and I have been in St. Petersburg in mid summer, sipping coffee inside the arctic circle at 11:30 pm at night in broad daylight. Beautifully written dear Debi, bless you and family, blessings Roy

That was a brilliant description of the northern lights .By personifying The northern lights you have made her appear like a celestial dancer out to bewitch mere humans .all the best for the contest.

A wonderful and beautiful entry for the Dribble flash fiction, even though it's not really fiction - perhaps the way you personified it into a woman or a dancer makes it fiction. I hope that doen't matter for the contest because it is a lovely piece to share (I was disqualified once for a true story in a flash fiction contest.) Best wishes for it.

-Yeah Wendy, I wondered about that too. I was hoping that maybe I would be ok by romanticizing it into a dancer. Yet, if it's DQ'd I will chalk it up to a lesson learned. I certainly appreciate the incredible review and kind words tho. Thank you dear friend!

I have had the blessing of experiencing the glorious Aurora Borealis only once, as a child, on a family vacation to Canada. I stood in quiet awe... Surely this was heaven!
You bring that emotion back to me with your Dribble "fiction" -- "fiction" I assume because it is not an accounting of one single non-fiction experience, but a beautiful nod to the majesty of this phenomenon!
What an incredible photo, taken from your son's back yard!
A thrilling read, Debi!

Thank you my sweet friend! I am prepare that it may be DQ'd as it is not actually fiction. Yet my poem kinda is so, we'll see. How cool that you saw this so many years ago and have such great memories.
Thank you for sharing your great story and your six stars with me! You're the greatest! You really are!

Loved your poetic descriptions of the aurora - something that's on my bucket list to see. We get notifications that we MIGHT see it here except for the clouds. Anyway, I think this should do well in the contest but you probably want to remove the extra spaces as you seem to have it formatted like a poem not a prose story. Just FYI.

You are awesome Helen! Force of habit to center that and now with some change, a little change in the wording too, I am good with it too. Thank you for your valuable feedback, my dear dear friend.

Debi,
What an amazing site. I've only had the experience of seeing this on TV. It cannot compare to the natural beauty as you see. It's incredible. You are fortunate to live in an area to be exposed to such wonderment.
Your expressions in the poem created a perfect picture in my mind.

Fantastic. Thank you...
