Love this story. Simple, clear, shows things from two points of view, supports the idea of viable human life elsewhere and that they may be unaware of other viable human life. Lets the mind of the reader take different directions. And really think....
Leaves reader wondering til the end, and then brings whole story together with ADAM and EVE. Very nice touch!
Love the aspect of hope in the aftermath of devastation. There will always be a seed. Reminds me of the scene in Noah's Ark where Noah's grandpa plants a seed that was from the garden of Eden and life sprang up everywhere and then Noah had the trees he needed for wood to make the ark. It was the best scene (in my opinion) in that movie. Never thought about that before...
Of course, Methuselah was alive and helping Noah during that 120 years that he spent building the ark. The world's oldest living human died the same year that the flood came and his family took off in the ark.
Anyway, devastation and seed for new life. Powerful concepts.

"It appeared to be slides with a mixture of male, female stem cells." Have read this 5 times and still cannot understand what it means...
The scan appears to be slides?
Is it male/female stem cells, or, is it male and female stem cells?

Hi Lucy, thank you for your great review. Male, and separate female stem cells is correct. I will fix the story.
The final bonding of M/F in the Lab would give characteristics of the two donors to the fetus. But I've read they're not far from getting both male and female cells, to reproduce on their own. They've already done it with rats. The legal and ethical ramifications from that are mind boggling.

I do not usually go for science fiction which this appeared to be at first. But, I really enjoyed this! The ending was so surprising. How clever! Your author's notes help me to see the point of the story. I was so glad when the vials appeared. Not every single human was destroyed exactly.

I do not usually go for science fiction which this appeared to be at first. But, I really enjoyed this! The ending was so surprising. How clever! Your author's notes help me to see the point of the story. I was so glad when the vials appeared. Not every single human was destroyed exactly.

Thanks, Tina for the nice review. Someday, I hope not too soon, we may forgo birth, and begin to rely on this method. It has many up sides, but will be the consequences? The mind boggles.
