A very well-written chapter. When there is mutual respect between the management and the workers it is always a pleasure to work together and everyone seems happy to be working.

I like your pink armadillo! He's a character and I like the
snort that is " like the lower note of a saxophone. " Good characterization and I like the narrator's pleasant way of building up his relationship with him.

You know, the little critters do 'snort' a bit when they're digging... cute (although their digging makes my husband CRAZY!!) but I thought it needed to be brought forward as a bit more musical and definitely not when he was digging...LOL! ;) :) Thanx for the review, Helen, and you take care! ;) Yvette

Yvette, I'm glad you decided to write your 500 word chapters again. I'm still missing Maggie but Sir Archie is OK. Still, if I was the Groundskeeper and I had a pink Knight the nights would be painted rainbow colors. :) Thank you for this entertaining story.

LOL!! ;) Rainbow, eh? I'll keep that in mind! :) And don't worry, I'm working toward some other installments... just trying to get over the 'blues' that moved in a couple of weeks ago -- I'm getting there!! ;) :) Take care over there, Jose, and have a wonderful evening! ;) Yvette

I have been waiting, I thought you might be teaching and not writing so I was patient. Sir Archie seems to be a character to be watched and I think will help Nicholas into the cabinet.

And you would be write -- the whole teaching gig is a bit of a bummer toward the end of the quarter, but grades are in and I'm breathing again! ;) :) LOL! Thanx for the review, Rikki, always so good to hear from you -- glad you enjoyed this chapter to the fun! ;) :) Yvette

Sir Archie the pink ninja armadillo is such a great character. His noble character reminds me of Reepicheep from the Chronicles of Narnia. Excited to read more from you!

Sir Archie is great, isn't he?! LOL! A knight in his armor... and he's pink! ;) Thanx so much for catching up, Melonie -- I'll do my best to get another chapter out earlier than the usual once a month to make up for my 'skip' last month! ;) :) Take care out there! ;) Yvette

Very well done Yvette, I really enjoyed this chapter, not only because Nicholas got to meet Sir Archibald, but he showed him his respect for a title, after initially wishing to call him Archie. Now they are off to the next adventure-the cabinet.

You know, that was a purposeful inclusion as I'm hoping it demonstrates to the young reader the importance of respect to those that have earned it (even though they're smaller or different...). :) ;) Thanx for the review, ma'am, and for your continued support!! ;) Yvette

You are most welcome Yvette. Great job.

This is such a charming tale. I like the names and the chivalry of it all. Everything is so formal and serious. That is such a nice relief from our haphazard world where kids like social media and drugs.
I look forward to the next chapter.

Hooray!! You noticed that aspect... although I'm hoping it's not a detriment... sigh. :) :) Thanx so much for the review and those wonderful stars, MQ -- but, most of all, ma'am, thank you so very much for your continued support!! ;) It (and you!) give me my 'green light' to keep up with this writing bit... :) :) Thank you. Yvette :)

A pink armadillo, shocking! He's well cast as a knight since he has natural body armour. Guardian of the magic cabinet. I can't wait to learn what's inside.
Can you tell I spend a lot of time watching "episodes" with my grandkids? From this hard earned expertise I urge you to introduce another female character and/or upgrade Rosalind the rosebush.
Blessings Julia

Don't worry, Julia, in addition to Rosa, there's another busy-body on her way soon... ;) :) Thanx so much for making me feel as though it's all worth it -- take care! ;) Yvette

This is well penned with no evidence of SPAG to be had making for a smooth and enjoyable reading experience. The story progresses in a fluid and logical manner making it easy to follow. The dialog is consistent with both the characters and the setting. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

I especially like the warm sensitivity of this in the exchange about Sir Archibald's name. (Things like that tend to stick with me.) It is a lovely series and, as time allows, I do plan to go back and catch up on the chapters I haven't yet read. I'm positive it will be a sweet undertaking.) :-) Janet

Oh, I'm so very glad you've decided to go back, Janet, and I hope you enjoy.... it's a young person's novel, but hopefully one that parents would enjoy reading with their young person to encourage discussions and reading! ;) :) Thanx for your support and enjoy the day! ;) Yvette

I often read YP books and have found that a great many of them are well-written and have intricate plot twists. :-)
