Thank you so much for the six stars, Sylvia, that is so kind of you. How does it feel to be published? I can't begin to tell you what a thrill it is to hold a book in your hand and know you wrote it. Seeing your own name on the cover, it's all so exciting. If you want something bad enough, you will do it. Your book on spices will be published because you want it. Yes, you do. I need to take this one off, but I'll leave it for a while longer. My first book in the series is off, and most of the second. :)

Congratulations!!! That is so encouraging. I agree with you completely. FanStory is a wonderful place to learn how to write, whether it be poetry, short stories or novels.
Shout-out to all the wonderful reviewers who gently and kindly point out errors, or make suggestions to help struggling writers improve. I had the exact same experience as you did when I started here. I loved to write, but I needed so much help. I received it then and still do today.

I knew nothing about writing when I joined FS last fall (had the passion, but absolutely no skill or knowledge). You are so right about the all that is learned here, the help and support coming from other writers, friendships made and emotions and life shared.

I'm 60, learning slowly due to the demands of life, but you've given me hope to keep learning, keep writing, keep pushing myself and good things may come of it.

If I've achieved nothing more than inspiring one person to follow their dream regardless of age, then I'm a happy lady. Age is no barrier when it comes to writing, that's one of the good things about it. Being a member of FS gets you there a little bit faster. What a lovely thing to say, Joy, that is so kind of you. I know what you mean about professionally published authors, I don't think I've ever read one that is totally spag free. I am going to write a couple more stories for Eric and his Drone, Herbie. He keeps nagging me every time I'm with him, lol. They are quite quick writes, but I'll also be writing a few chapters for my next book so I have a few ready to post when Eric's is finished. Thanks again my friend, you've always been so kind about my writing and I do appreciate it. :))

LoL! It?s too late! Addiction set in the moment I typed in my first poem! I have been looking for a site like this for a very long time and was giving up back in the 80s and something said go search now and I found this site! I wished I?d found it sooner but then again obviously the time is right at this point of my life! Thank you for the encouragement! xoxo
