I was wondering how you would handle Mildred staying. It will be a blow to Veronica to lose her, but she wants Mildred to be happy. How will the children take losing her.
Seems they did a number of Charles and, hopefully, his career and reputation are ruined forever!

A wonderful chapter. They did change history. Now Charles is considered to have gone off the deep end. I think it is awesome that Veronica is telling the powers that be Mildred will stay because she is in love with Tommy. I hope they let Mildred stay and she is happy for as long as she can be. This flows well and show the devotion that Veronica has for her friend Mildred. Well done.

You will get an inkling at the end of the next chapter but then comes the very last chapter. That is when the big surprise comes. It came to me late the other night. Aww, thank you so very much, my dear friend, for giving me your last 6! You are wonderful!! I've sorted that line out, more thanks for that. Two parts left, I can't wait to read the reviews on the last part. I'll give you a little hint seeing as you have been so nice. Mildred becomes quite unstable when she is ripped away from Tommy. She is so jealous of Veronica, she takes an axe to her and James and runs off with the children. It's so sad really, but that's the way life goes. Please don't give the ending away. It's a suprise! lol. xxx

Puts me in an odd position as a reviewer though, because now I have to judge it as isolated writing.
Just in case "I hopes it's not early retirement" should be hope? or intentional style of speech? -part 25 para 8
may be a personal taste, but not sure caps lock is necessary either, entirely up to you though.
That was some fun dialogue, and I got the time travel aspect from this chapter. I will certainly be looking out for more, and may see if I can make time to catch up a bit. Good read.

Hi there, and welcome to Fanstory. Yes, you have come into the story at the end of the trilogy. The three novels have come almost full circle. Veronica is the time traveller and Mildred, who began in the first book as a maid, is also a time-traveller now. She has a mix of Cornish and East London dialect, which accounts for the odd spellings. Everyone who has read the whole series has made her the lead role, when in fact she wasn't anything, to begin with. She has now developed into something far greater than the main character, Veronica. I can't go into too much detail here because she is very much the focus of the final ever chapter that will be posted next week. The fact that the first line drew you into the story, has quite made my day. The capital letters at the end were my way of conveying Veronica shouting at the powers-that-be, who have controlled Veronica's time-travelling. Thank you so much for reading this part, and if you do read the earlier parts, I hope you enjoy them as well. :)) Sandra xx

It was not just a request but an order Veronica presented to the powers, she was demanding that Mildred had the life she deserved, she wasn't thinking about herself, nor James, nor the children just Mildred.
