I have enjoyed reading your chapter very much, Sandra. My favorite bit was when the little boy asked if they could see Aunty Mildred's brain.
You make great use of the first person.
Thanks for sharing.

It was the type of thing my brother would ask, she was weird child, thank goodness he grew-up! Thank you so much for reading this part of my story, Maria, I really appreciate it. :) Sandra xxx

I love this story. As I am writing a fantasy myself I appreciate the work that goes into it to make sense. You ground us in reality with dunking ginger biscuits and the way girls are encouraged to think about dieting at way too early an age. I had the same conversation with my daughter.
Loved it
God bless

Thank you so very much for this really lovely review, Jenny. Girls are thinking of diets far too young these days. I've been on one for 60 years! lol! Thank you for the shiny six stars, my friend. I really appreciated it all. Big hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

Okay, I certainly hope that works and he resigns his position in the admiralty. I don't think he should get away with murder. If you haunt him maybe he will give in from remorse and confess. Great imagery in your work Sandra. Warm family atmosphere. Well done. Nancy:)

So do I, Nancy, but as the saying goes, the best-laid plans... at least, I think that's the saying! LOL. Thank you so much for the six shiny stars, and lovely review, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, I'd just written a lengthy review and just when I was ready to send it, it disappeared!!! Grrr! Anyway, it sounds like a plan, and I hope it will work. I loved the part with Ann. They will soon have their handful with a growing teenager. And as usual, Mildred is just, well, Mildred. I love her. A big hug from a nice and very mild Spain. We need rain though, and it's not coming. Ulla xxxx

LOL, that has happened to me so many times, it's so annoying, but that's technology for you. But thank you for this one, Ulla, and the lovely six stars. I wish I could say the same for the weather here, it's bloody freezing! I'm sure I can send a bit of rain your way! Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

I'm sorry I've not looked at this novel before. I lovely the typically British biscuit-dunking, and the whole conversation surrounding biscuits and sugar, juxtaposed with ghosts and whatnot. I can see I'll have to have look back through the chapters. Your dialogue and characters are realistic and likeable. I'll be keeping a lookout for more.

This story keeps getting better and better. Your characters, action, and their dialogue seem so realistic and your plot continues to thicken. I do hope their idea works. Great job as always.

Love the story and love the idea of haunting the Admiral. I think it just might work. That is one option I had not thought about, but I really like it. Half way through your post the size of your font changed.

Thank you so much, my friend, for the lovely 6 stars and for letting me know about the font change. I've been back and sorted that out. I don't know why that happens. Now, we have to hope that Mildred's plan works, this Vice Admiral is a bit of a tough nut and will take a real scare to crack him. Thanks, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Good plan! Knowing Veronica, she'll manage to put the fear of death (literally!) into Gladys' horrible husband with her ghostly antics. But will it be enough to stop him? I can't wait to find out!

Thank you very much, Alexis, for another of your fabulous reviews and all these pretty stars. I'm hoping Mildred's idea works, and it will put the fear of God up him. We'll see. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Good plan. Remove him from decision-making, and that should solve the problem. Unless he has influence on his replacement. Not a sure thing, but at least it provides hope.
As for the ghosts Ann and Gladys, will they find peace at the end? My understanding of ghosts is that they wander the Earth because of something left unfinished. They should get to move on to Heaven after they find a way to correct the problem. So it's not good to STAY a ghost.

Thank you so much, my friend, for the six shiny stars. We've now got to see if it will work as planned, as you say, it's not a sure thing. As for Gladys, she will go on to Heaven once she knows her husband has been stopped and he couldn't hurt her beloved. son. Ann is already peace, she went off to Heaven with Peter once their bodies had been brought out of the cesspit and given a Christian burial. Big hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx
It's lovely to see you posting again, I've just seen your name in my messages, I'll go and take a look.
