Another brilliant chapter, Sandra. I like the way you handled the commotion that seemed tom prevail in the escaping, like here:

"Nurses, and the porters who were not needed for wheelchair or stretcher duty, were dashing around gathering important things that might be needed in an emergency."

Lots of action leading up to the climax, I assume. good last line for a hook, too.

This is a great edition to the story. I am now wanting to know what happens with the explosion. Veronica went back in time to make sure Mildred got out of the hospital before it got hit and crumpled. Now it looks as if the time travel was in vain. This is why I have trouble with time travel. The past can't be changed or the future would be different. Okay that made no sense. Well done. You have an engaging story that makes the reader want to continue reading. Well done again.

You are so right, one change can do irreparable harm, that's why Veronica is there, to make sure it isn't. She's already seen the consequences of how it would be if she can't stop it.
