Your words put me right in the deadly middle of the bombing attack. The realism was strong. But, now I'm concerned about Gladys. You're getting good at driving me nuts with your endings.

LOL! I know some wonderful nursing homes, Diane!! Thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, and brilliant, fun review. Gladys has some explaining to do! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm a little confused. Your synopsis at the top says they were sent back to 1905, but later in this story, someone mentions being 'ere in 1916.' Am I misunderstanding something . . . again. The scene you've portrayed of these bombings was so vivid, I could hear the noise and chaos. Now, to find out if Gladys is dead. I'm giving a six because this story deserves it for sure!

I must add to that synopsis now. I couldn't do it before because it would have given it away before Veronica had found out. The powers have sent her here to discover her assignment which she will understand now after being with the suffragettes for a while. More explanations will be coming in the next couple of parts. Thank you so much for the wonderful 6 stars, my friend and your lovely review. Big hugs, Sandra :) xxx

Wow. Wish I had twenty stars. I'd give them all to you for this awe post. You put me right there in the midst of the war. Brilliant writing. You must know your nation's history, and it's scary stuff. I thought our Revolutionary and Civil wars wars were tragic and bloody, but all those civilians, lost children. What a terrific scene! This would make a great movie. Reminds me of the war scene in"Gone With the Wind"!

Writing in dialect doesn't always come off, but you've got the accent to a T with the little boy's sister! Vivid and realistic description of the devastation caused by city bombing, along with the chaos and panic. You've certainly left us with something to think about at the end! Can't wait to see how this plays out.

What a fabulous review, Tony. Thank you so very much. The stunning six stars are just the icing of top! I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part. I do enjoy writing in dialect, that's why I pick areas that I can practice with, :) It's so nice that you think it's come over well. Thank you! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This is an excellent chapter to your book, Sandra. Enthralling and clear. Great imagery of what I assume is the Blitzkrieg in London. Believable dialogue throughout. Marilyn

Thank you so much, Marilyn, for another lovely review. The Germans used the Zeppelin air balloons to bomb London for three years during the first world war, but after we finally managed to get some artillery with a range long enough to reach them, (2 miles high) they stopped sending them as they lost so many of them. Quite interesting when you start researching these things. lol. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Yes, that's true. I forgot that your story takes place during the first world war and not the second.

I like your story. I need to go back and read what has lead up to this part of the story already because I am curious about why Veronica the time traveler is invisible and to know more about Gladys. You drew me into the story so much that I wanted to find out if Edie, the older sister of little Jimmy finds their mum. I look forward to reading more.

Hello! How nice of you to read this chapter, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Veronica has taken on different roles in the series, but this is the first time that Mildred has time-travelled with her. She is an enigma on her own, lol. and Veronica's best friend. At the end of the last book, Mildred died of old age and was brought back as a twenty-something year old by the 'powers that be' as Veronica calls them. Complicated, but a very easy read, really! Each book has a different story. This one has just reached the part where Veronica and Mildred hope to find out just what it is they have been sent back in time to put right. Gladys has something to do with it, and we hope to find out next time just what it is. I don't know if that helps, I'm terrible at explaining. Thanks again, and welcome back! :)) Sandra xx

Wow! This is a very exciting chapter Sandra. So Gladys is a victim of the bombing. That means her 16 year old son is the object of their visits I guess. Your imagery is very well done. I was totally engrossed in the story. Did you experience any bomb attacks in WWII? I was six so you probably weren't even a twinkle in your pa's eye as yet. Good job Dear. :) Nancy

I was born two years after the war was finished, so still a spring chicken!! (I wish) I've felt a lot older lately, the bones have been playing me up, and my breathing isn't behaving itself. Anyway, nuff of that! Thank you so very much for the 6 stars, Nancy, and the wonderful review. Is Gladys a victim of the bombing?? Hmm, we will soon find out. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm afraid so, we will find out what happened in the next part. I've a good mind to make you wait longer for making me wait to find out why the dogs are keeping Shana prisoner!! LOL Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend, that was so kind of you. :)) Sandra xx

As in previous episodes, the only people that can see or hear Veronica, were actually dead, as, apparently is Gladys, I wonder if her husband...Good old Mildred, doing her good deeds, compassion shown to a small boy, who is eventually found by his sister. Excellent job dear Sandra, well done, blessings, Roy
Typo : Disappeared (in) Into the crowd.

Thank you so very much, Roy, for your fabulous review and for pointing out that errant 'in'. Now Veronica will be glad she is invisible to those around her because she can learn more from Gladys. What happened to her? We will find out in the next part. Thanks, my friend! :)) Sandra xxx
