I'm so sorry. It must be awful for you. I can't think of anything that would be more excruciatingly painful for one to see their life partners, I've lost several friends plus a brother in recent times, so I can relate to your story. Well done, my blessings best wishes. Good luck in the contest, Roy

Thank you. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the rules so the story won't be in the contest. It is supposed to be nonfiction. My bad.

Hello, you're writing broke my heart. As i have passed through with my son 10 years ago he had Lymphoma cancer grade 4, we stayed in the hospital five months chemo, and apparently Jesus answered my prayer made a Miracle that my son is living up till now. He is 58. I will pray for your husband if this writing is true, and God is great. If it is in a contest good luck. Love Terry xoxo

Thank you. I'm so glad your son survived. I know chemo does help in some cases. My husband is 89 and doesn't want to be miserable for the time he has left. He is in no pain and just wants to live in peace in his last days.

I feel for you, my friend. I lost my husband to cancer 32 years ago, so can understand how you both feel. Chemo is nasty, but I hear they have developed an alternative now, but when it will be out for patients, I don't know. I will keep you both in my prayers.Good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you. Yeah, I think there are some much better treatments out now. I also think they have more control over the side effects of chemo now.

I'm so sorry that you guys have to go through this. I can't imagine your pain, watching him slowly wither away, knowing there's no way to stop it. I can only hope and pray that you find happy times amongst all your sorrow. Your piece is well-written, very descriptive, I could feel your pain, your heartache on every line.

Thank you. Yes, it is hard but it is also my husband's choice. He is 89 and has led an interesting life. There is no pain and he just wants to live in peace his last days.

Heavy stuff! For a fiction piece, this felt pretty real. I'm sure if the story was fiction it must have been from some kind of personal experience dear to your heart. Happy writing and best of luck to you in all of your endeavors!

Thank you. It's nonfiction and was eliminated from the contest. My bad for not paying attention to the rules. LOL
