My students both past and present are excelling themselves today. This is a beautiful version you have here and i liked the blank verse version almost as much. The free verse however retains something of the apparently aimless fluttering of the butterfly, a beautiful creature but doomed to such a short life in that state.

Very many thanks both for the review and the six stars, Jim. I am beginning to think that I, too, prefer the free verse version. Unchaining a fixed form is an interesting approach to creating free verse, for it retains some of the structure while allowing greater freedom of expression.

If this aspect of the course has proved interesting at least I do not feel I have taken your money under false pretences. For me it has been an adventure, for some perhaps an educative experience, but for you I wondered.

A very well-written free verse poem, when we look at the butterfly that starts as a caterpillar then died and cocooned in a resting place and whrn thr time is right the butterfly starts a new life and flies away and the cycle starts again when the butterfly lays tge eggs. We have to prepare our souls for its migration too.

This is just beautiful. I could never have described it better, 'on wings of butterflies.' Also, 'yearning for migration, as do we'...I think this is exactly what man does, as he seeks all the self-help books, and consults the stars. Beautiful. Blessings...
