Laughing out loud at this one! We were all shocked with Bruce's transition, and denied the obvious signs for the longest time.... Do you possibly have one on Kim as well? I like that it is short, And I like the picture that accompanies it !

Wow Justin thanks so much for the excellent review and 6 stars. Spruce was the obvious choice for Bruce lol and the rest just flowed. I enjoy having a bit of fun with my poetry and this contest let me do the Limerick and she just appeared. With much appreciation for your comments Cheers

This is a fairly good limerick, but I think your fifth line is a bit of where the stresses are concerned.
I wish the contest originator had posted a limerick showing us how the iambic meter was supposed to fall.
Anapestic meter is also commonly used in a limerick.

thanks barking dog for your review. I am really not too familiar with stresses and find iambic meter difficult to understand, have never heard of Anapestic meter but will look it up. Just having a bit of fun and do appreciate your read. Cheers
