What a nice moving work this is..We all like to think that our loved ones are in a better place and that we will meet them once again. I hope if that is true we get to pick and choose who we want to meet... Some I really would hate to spend eternity with lol

Then you better make sure you get to Heaven. 'Cause in that other place there will be all those other unsavory characters you most certainly don't want to spend eternity with.
Thanks TK for your wonderful comments. Have a great and healthy 2015 my friend. :-) Carolyn

Hi, Carolyn,

Our loved ones indeed, never leave us. They surround us by His grace.

My dad has been gone since St. Patrick's Day, sixteen years ago---yet I feel him all around me, as I do my mom too.

Beautiful poem and artwork.

Cheers & Blessings

    Hi there dear Jax.
Yes, it seems that the memories grow dearer with each passing day. Mother was almost 98 and passed away in 2007. Larry lost his dad last April, at 93. No matter how long we have them we long to see them again.
Thanks so much for this great review.
    Love, Carolyn

My mom passed away a week before Thanksgiving in 2007. I kept her phone number in my cell phone for years. Only deleted about 3-yrs ago when I was having cell phone trouble.

Heck, I still feel like I could call her on the phone!! (*<*)

Mother died 9-19-2007,so we were grieving at the same time. I saved mothers messages out on our house phone and played them until we had to switch services. But you know, I can still hear her sweet voice in my heart. We were blessed to have such memorable mothers. Love you, Carolyn

G'day Caroline. This is a really nice piece mate, but I just wish it was a bit longer to give it a bit more meat. The picture is a perfect addition. Cheers Fez

    Thanks Fez,
Sometimes I just say what I have on my mind and that's the end.
You know, a little like 'Forrest Gump, ' "and that's all I have to say about that." I am so glad you enjoyed the poem and that you wish it were longer. That is nice.
