Good grief, what kind of guy are you really. I bet there's
no need of a security system for your house and you must not get those univited, drop-by guests. Actually, you are most likely a pussycat who just likes to scare himself to sleep to dream up more eery stories:0 help!

You're right, gypsymoth, I am nothing but a big teddy bear in reality, and I care very much for people and their feelings. However, when I write something strange comes over me. It's almost as if someone else takes over all together, and I suppose that is my muse.
In any event, I am very pleased that you enjoyed reading this, and I sincerely appreciate your very generous six star rating and most complimentary review.
Sorry about the lengthy wait in responding. I do hope you have a wonderful 2015, and beyond. :)

Hi Dean - a great post, written in an easy to read quatrain format with in an aabb rhyme scheme that pulls your reader through quickly. Loved the presentation as well. Let's all look forward to 2015. Warm regards, Bill

Thank you very much, Toyjenna, and I appreciate your most generous assessment of my work. Horror poetry is primarily all that I write, at least for the most part.
Thanks so much again! I truly appreciate it. ;)

Fukes! True, you are a horror writer and the best at it. Hope you are doing movies too. You scared the hell out of my gut... I like how you piece the thoughts together, the images and connect the points. You are excellent!

Hello Dean,
Each of us have our own specialty, yours is not the way I could ever write because I'm a scaredy cat.. lol, but one thing for sure, you are an especially good writer in your chosen genre, this poem is a perfect example of rhymed quatrains, using enjambment to make for a fluid read...that's what I admire most, the way you put pen to paper...yes indeed this is a 6 star poem!
Best Wishes for a Safe and Happy New Years, to you and your family...
Big Hugs,
Victoria

Yes, Dean, you are a real scary horror writer. Don't forget to stop by my writings sometimes, if you ever see any, ha! (gotta get busy:) I like the well used alliterations here in this poem and the build-up infused fear is done well. Very good rhyming couplets:)

Hi Dean,
I've enjoyed most of your writings and it's good to try other genres. However, no one does horror better than you and I enjoy those postings the best.
Your graphics are always stunning and make your writings so much fun. When I looked at that last pic, I definitely had an ick attack. There is always a little wink in your writings and sometimes an obvious tongue-in-cheek approach. You're very entertaining.
Hugs,
Lou

A sixth star for "cutting open a vein," spot-on meter and rhyme, and a peek inside of what motivates you. Still, I have to take exception to the implication that YOU are what you write. Nope, not buying it. I've read the reviews you post and they tip your hand. Anyone who reads them with even a modicum of care will recognize kindness and passion, not the monsters and mayhem of your very graphic imagination.
Here's wishing you the best in the coming year... one full of love and family and yes, writing what lights our own unique fire.
