Your friend, Dipper, should love this, Dean. It should be in a frame, the graphics are a great compliment to you heartfelt send-off.

A great send off to your friend Dr.Dip, if you call being designated as smelly shark shit that. That picture is fabulous. The verse is hilarious, I sure liked it . Hope he does too. How come he is leaving?

He just had the chance to read it, Cookie. He loved it, and I am so glad. I'd hoped it wouldn't offend him in any way, but he's a smart guy, he saw it for the pure satire that it was intended to be.
Thanks for the great review!

Now that's what I call an ode. I'm sure he got a good laugh when he read it. Nice rhythm and the funnies kept coming. Great job.

Hah, he sure did, GW, he just now got to read it. I am very happy that he did, he's been a very good friend. I will certainly miss him around here...
Thanks so much, again!

I'm sure your friend will be grateful for the tribute to him. The music wasn't as scary as the theme from jaws, but you got the message out just the same. Thanks for sharing and I hope your friend appreciates the well-intended humor behind this piece.

Hey, Dean, this is a marvelous send off for your friend. I'm sure there are some inside jokes here that I would enjoy if I understood, but your style is as exciting as ever and I always enjoy reading your non-conventional poems. Hugs, Lou

He's an avid surfer, and always professes to be a part of the sea. A man with sea water running through his veins, if you will. In my poem, I made him a (smelly) part of the sea, itself,, ha ha!
Thanks, Lou, I appreciate it!

Why don't you mention that in author's notes? Reader will better be able to enjoy the humor.

I will, thank you...

solid use of rhyming couplets including the good proximate rhyme of fast ass
In your final stanza the background picture colors obscure half the words
I'm sure dip will appreciate this :-) Brooke

Thanks for checking it out for me, Brooke. I do appreciate it. Yours is the first I have heard about the words being obscured by the picture. I wonder if it's just certain settings on some computers as opposed to others? I can see it perfectly on my own computer. Hmmmm, I will have to be careful about that! But, it is an experimental style, and I do a a few bugs to work out. It's feed back like yours that I need...

And I thought that I was a little bit strange. You almost have to have a twisted mind to write things that I only dare to dream about.

Hah, well, db, there are some on FS that would probably say my writing is a bit on the strange side of the fence. But, I like it over here, the water's very warm, heh heh...
Thanks for the read & review!

He was/is one heck of a guy. He writes really simple poetry, but each one has a very funny, or clever, sometimes sad meaning. I'm going to miss him here...
Thanks, Gert.
