You certainly can not alter the natural flow of life, that's for certain. No matter how badly you wish to go back into the past, and change or correct wrongs to make them right, you can't. Once you unleash that torrent of water, cascading you along on the paths you've chosen, it's hard to struggle against the current. And, sometimes, we tire, going under all together.

I always try to interpret an artists work as best I can, Carolyn. A great piece of poetry deserves far more than a simple, "Loved it! Great job." You are always welcome...

This is a very clever little 5-7-5.... I like it a lot... Your syllable count is right on and it made me smile. :) Your choice of art and layout compliment the poem nicely. :)

Sometimes brevity (which is the least of my virtues) work the best. Thanks so much, :-) Carolyn

this is very well written, notesandmore, you did an excellent job writing this short 5 7 5 poem about water's inability to go uphill. I enjoyed reading this one

Hi Carolyn,
I really like your short little 5 - 7 - 5 - poem. I love waterfalls and you did a great job in writing this about a Missouri waterfall.

I have see a waterfall that went up it was inside of a mountain and they used to give tours in the cave to see it. I do not know if they still do or not. It was really neat.

A real favorite of mine. My man wrote and played for me a song called Beneath the Waterfall. It's wonderful.
