This is quite the tale of epic proportions! I am amazed that you fit in 246 titles. I wanted to do more in my story, but I also wanted to keep it beleiveable in the context of the story of Esther. Some things just would not work! LOL
Thank you so much for organzing this contest. It has been marvelous fun. I can see you enjoyed it as much as I did. Very creative to add in all those Fanstorians. And I also saw some other song titles of popular tunes mixed it.
Best wishes to you with the contest! You've got a winning entry here yourself!
Blessings and hugs!

Yours was awesome and totally creative. I was blown away. Exceptional write for you. And you are right, there comes a time when you cannot put in anymore, especially for the sake of including them, for then you compromise the strengTH of your story. Yours was perfect .. and I am so thrilled you enjoyed mine, but at the end of the day, I look at yours and go,, wow, doulble wow.. thank you so very much Susan, very much.. jlsavell

Thank you ever so much for your incredibly encouraging reply!

I can't say I know all the titles but a great many of them ring a bell, they were a movement unto themselves, I still have A Sergeant Peppers album somewhere. Hitcher, Hitcher, my sweet friend. You are always such a loyal supporter of my work and so complimentary. thank you friend, thank you.. I intended to include you in the sotry, really I did, but it suddenly became to long. You were the postman and I had a dialogue going, but as I read through it, the postman didn't fit the story line as well as I thought it should.. do not worry though, I have not forgotten about you sweet friend.. oh I know you are sooo busy with being famous, but where oh where is my epic? love you sir... thank you once again... jimi

Did the postman always ring twice, ha ha :) I'll post the epic with the news of my books release and hopefully have enough funny money saved to post it high. I still have to fine tune it, every time I sit down and read it I change it so it is ongoing. Hitch

Wow, you know so many Beatle's songs. I recognized most , but there were a few new to me. I could just see the yellow submarine. I missed me and my arrow, but I don't know if that is truly a Beatle's song. Great job.

Comment from Earl of Oxford
Cor blimey, you can natter, Jimi. :-)
This must have taken AGES to get all the titles, let alone make a sensible story out of them so cleverly and funnily.
I'm not sure off all the titles, but I recognise most of them. I know 'Glad all Over' was originally by 'The Dave Clarke Five', though maybe it was a cover of a Beatles song.
Some very apt and clever references to FS members, though I'm miffed I didn't get a mention. :-(
Even so, and with the honesty I did rush through it a bit cos of its length, I DID read it all and it would be impossible not to award your brilliance with other than a 'sixer'.
Best wishes, Ray

Well with your reputation perhaps the antagonist. You are quite the SMASHER!!...THANK YOU SO MUCH... JIMI

'Brilliance' is completely apt, Jimi.
To mould so many Titles into a great fun and flowing story is WAY beyond my patience or ability.
BRAVO! xx
Comment from Keeper Tony
What can i say, i neeeded to be completely clear of mind to read this but i have now done so and it is a wonderfully crafted piece of music history weaved into a story. And i can safely say it has been a learning experience also as so many of these titles were not known to me!!! Very well done indeed as this took some patience and a good storytelling mind to create. A grand read indeed.

Holy Cow! How long did it take you to construct this one? You deserve six stars for effort alone. So many songs, and a story to boot! Very nicely done, my dear.
You've even got "Magic Carpet Ride" in there!
I remember one contest for the Beatles, where you had to re-write their lyrics. I wrote:
"There were bills on the fridge
but I never saw their due dates.
No I never saw them at all,
and now they're due... " etc. etc. it's back in my portfolio. It was a fun contest too. Do you recognize what the tune is for this one? ..."Til There Was You". It was written by Meredith Willson for his 1957 musical play "The Music Man". The Beatles performed it on the Ed Sullivan Show, February 9th, 1964. (I was thirteen years old).
I started playing the guitar because of the Beatles. When I was in Scouts, my patrol (Nighthawk Patrol) pantomimed the Beatles for Baden Powell night. We were a smash hit, doing "She Loves You" and "Roll Over Beethoven". Ah, those were the days!
I saw Paul McCartney in Halifax a couple of years ago. Totally awesome! I'll never forget him singing "Blackbird" and his tribute to John Lennon, "Here Today". Emotional!
I even see some Fanstorians in here! Good for you.
What's your favourite Beatle album?
I'd pick "Rubber Soul".
Good Luck in the contest!

Kimbob

A very mad romp through Rock and Roll. This is totally crazy anyway, it might not even matter, but truffles are not cultivated, they grow underground and are hunted by truffle pigs or truffle hounds, just saying...A samurai wrestler, is not really a viable name, the rotunded grapplers are called sumo wrestlers. Kind of crazy, but I do crazy on occaission. Good luck--Ted
