I really enjoyed your poem! It's short but powerful. I love how you highlight the struggles of the little red fox. That last stanza was such an uplifting note. It really feels like a call to action. Well done!

We have red foxes much redder than the one in your picture. They live in our subdivision. We wish they ate Canada geese, but they seem to be doing a good job of getting rid of our voles. It is a shame to hear the Western Red Fox is on the critically endangered list. They are such a useful animal in keeping down rodents. Without them the balance may be suddenly in the favor of rats and other rodents.

We see foxes quite often in Maine but I have no idea what kind they are considered. They are pretty cute but I wouldn't want to be too close to one. Great poem and good info as always. Thanks for sharing.
