Thank you for this very informative piece on the TV show, The Partridge Family. Even though I was familiar with the show, I didn't realize they released 89 songs. You did an excellent job pointing out the main factors of the show and the lives of the characters.

I had no idea that the Partridge Family was based off of a real family. Very interesting fact. You certainly know a lot about one of your favorite shows. I also didn't know that the show actually put out any albums. That's a fun fact. A great piece of non-fiction.

Thank you for sharing this delightful and interesting read! This story is an exceptional tribute to The Partridge Family, one of the most beloved television shows of the 1970s. It beautifully captures the essence of the show, its impact on pop culture, and the fascinating real-life inspiration behind it-the Cowsills. The level of detail provided here makes for an enjoyable and nostalgic journey through television history, bringing to life not just the show itself but also the music, the cast, and its lasting influence.

The connection between The Partridge Family and the Cowsills adds a fascinating layer of history. Many people may not know that this fictional band was loosely based on a real one, making this story an insightful look into how television often draws from real life. The mention of the Cowsills' enduring legacy, including their induction into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame and their participation in the Happy Together tour, is a wonderful nod to their continued influence. It makes one want to revisit their music and appreciate their contributions to the era's soundscape.

The story does a fantastic job detailing the structure of The Partridge Family, from its premise and characters to the famous Mondrian-inspired tour bus that became an icon in itself. The description of Shirley Jones as the matriarch and David Cassidy as the teenage heartthrob captures the charm that made the show a fan favorite. The question, "What female species was not in love with David Cassidy?", is both humorous and entirely true-his charisma and talent defined an entire generation's musical and television experience.

The behind-the-scenes details, such as the change in the opening theme song from "When We're Singin'" to "C'mon Get Happy", add an extra layer of appreciation for the show's evolution. It's small details like these that keep readers engaged, reminding them of little things they may have noticed but never fully processed. The show's impressive lineup of guest stars, from Farrah Fawcett to Johnny Cash, further highlights its popularity and influence.

The discussion of the music, especially "I Think I Love You", brings back the infectious energy of the show. The enthusiasm is palpable, and it's easy to imagine readers immediately wanting to stream these classic hits. The revelation that "C'mon Get Happy" was originally sung by Judy Garland in Summer Stock is a particularly interesting tidbit that connects the song to a broader entertainment legacy.

The final section, which provides updates on the main cast, is a touching tribute. It acknowledges the passing of some beloved actors, particularly David Cassidy and his poignant final words, "So much wasted time." It's a reminder of how fleeting life can be and makes one reflect on the impact of these stars beyond their time on screen. The mention of Shirley Jones still thriving at 90 is uplifting, showing that her legacy continues strong.

This story is not just a nostalgic look back at The Partridge Family-it is a beautifully written and deeply informative tribute to the show, its music, and its stars. It captures the warmth, joy, and fun that made the series so special while providing fascinating insights and lesser-known facts. A delightful and enjoyable read from start to finish!

Harry,

This is a wonderful story. I remember watching the Partridge family. I don't think there is a person born in the 60's that doesn't know who they are. Side note; I didn't have a crust on David Cassidy. Just saying.

Great job

Cecilia

I was stunned when they put Shirly Jones in as the mom after she played the most beautiful prostitute I ever saw in Elmer Gantry. This is a wonderfully written piece. Best of luck with your writing! Have a great day, and God bless.

I remember this television series, The Partridge Family, and loved watching it every week on my television set.
They were a feel-good show with lots of stars on it to show how the family worked as a rock band and as a family unit together at the same time. My favorite song of theirs was "I Think I Love You" sung by David Cassidy.
It represented the way all of us felt as we tried to figure out if we truly loved the new person in our lives.
Thanks for this entertaining story of a positive influence in the 70s.
Jesse

Thank you for all your research on another favorite TV family! I remember watching that show. Sorry to hear so many died already! I remember that red-haired Danny character the most. In one episode, he fell in love with a Jewish girl and was trying to pass himself as Jewish. He was quite the "hustler". Thanks for reminding me of the fun songs.

Man, Harry, you are stirring up the memories here. I religiously watched the Partridge Family on Friday nights. I believe they followed the Brady Bunch, but I could be wrong. I had the hots for Susan Dey too!!!😜. And Marcia Brady, come to think of it! 🤣
My fave song was, is, "I Think I Love You" as well. I will sometimes just break into singing it for no reason.
As for the Cowsills, I also love "The Rain, the Park, and Other Things" song and I will break into that song as well.
Great songs, great memories. Nice job!!!
