I liked reading this poem. Very pretty illustration choice.
I didn't see anything too hard to improve on.
The only place I thought a word was missing was here:
When I was . We lived by a religiou with a lot of do's and do's,; they were almost all donts.
I am sure you meant:
When I was young, we lived by a religion with a lot of do's and don't's; they were almost all don't's.
Favorite part:
Now, the do's and don'ts aren't as scary and are easier to understand since I made Jesus the ruler of my heart and soul.

Hi Crystie, I am actually embarrassed to tell you this, but when I was doing a little editing late last night, I was falling asleep at my keyboard and had screwed up and somehow saved it. When I looked at it this morning I was horrified so I fixed it right away. So bless your heart for still giving me your six stars. You are so incredibly sweet. Thank you for your kindness, my very dear friend. Love, Debi

It is okay! I know you have a lot going on with your eyesight and all.
Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
You are absolutely right that faith gives us power over pain and hard times and sadness. It is a promise of life after this life. It is the certainty that we are loved. We are supposed to share it in the way we treat others, but not necessarily as lecturers on how others should believe. God bless you.

Thanks Carol, for this kind review and words for my post of my faith
I like the way you express yours and I agree that I am not a preacher so I won't preach, but my post was to tell how I feel, because when the spirit moves me, I listen.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness, my dear friend.
Love, Debi

Thank you for sharing your deep belief with us, Debi. Faith is a belief, a feeling, a testimony to the greater picture, being united with God. Knowing that He is always there for me always keeps me positive. Though He allowed me to do the bad in life, He tested me to see how I would resolve myself and come back strong.
Six star worthy!!
Smiling at ya...

Hey Sweetie, you are the best. Thank you for this very kind review, thoughtful comments and for the gracious six stars. Did I mention that you are the best. We have all done bad things. I have a hard time forgiving myself for some of mine. So any time you want to exchange, I bet I win the baddest award. (Smile) love ya, bro. Debi

This is so very well written, and it means so much not only to you, but it also means a lot to me to hear you share your faith with with me so openly. When I first moved to Phoenix, Arizona and I started in a new church the pastor and his wife came out and they were questioning me about my faith?
And I told them that I was more sure of my Salvation than I was sure that I had given birth to four children. That seemed to settle the question for them because they know that a person who's at four children knows exactly that she's had four children. Patricia.

Hi Patrica, for this kind review and words for my post of my faith
I like the way you explain faith. You know what you're talking about.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness, my dear friend.

Dear Debi, thank you for sharing your post on faith and the strength and security blanket it provides especially in times of difficulty or adversity. I like the way you say it's not about the 'dos' and 'don'ts' but something much more present and profound that that - the love of God. Without faith we can become lost and alone because it's a challenging world out there, especially when we're beset by illness. Thank you for sharing your inspiring story, Debi. Love Debbie

Thank you, Debbie. I appreciate your sweet comments about my post. I had no plans of writing it but I was so moved so much by the spirit today that I had to follow where He was leading me. I have no idea how to explain it, but it was what I needed today.
I believe I will be healed somehow in my eyes. Depression is where satan would have me be, but I won't stay there. I knew I shouldn't have vented until I had time to pray hard about it. Thanks again, my very dear friend, for all your kindness. Lotsa love, Debi

An absolute pleasure, Debi. I'm so pleased you're feeling more upbeat. You needed that at the end of a long weekend.

As a Jehovah's Witness it is hard for me to respond to this in a way that you may agree with or even approve of. We believe that only a limited number of faithful will be going to heaven. The majority of faithful followers of God and his son Jesus Christ will either survive Armageddon or be resurrected to an Earth that will be transformed into an Earth that will be like the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve's fall from grace. We believe that God never abandoned his desire for the Earth to be populated by perfect human beings which is the status we will attain after Satan's destruction. I am sorry if this goes against your belief, but I do not apologize for my beliefs as I do not expect you to do either.

Oh Nomi, it was God who led me to write this and was responsible for this post. I'm surprised anyone would tell me my testimony about my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was wrong.
I don't understand, Nomi, why anyone would give a testimony of which they weren't perfectly in sync with God. It does hurt to have anyone else judge me though.
-
My my second heartbeat, I want you to know without doubt, I would never presume to judge anyone. Your faith based upon your belief is yours and yours alone. I would never presume to tell you what to believe. I only sought to share with you what my vision of the future is. You did not try to convert me and I would never try to convert you. If that is what you thought, please allow me to apologize as I have never been so thoughtless.
-
I'm sorry, my dear Nomi.
I am just a little touchy after Friday's appointment. Please forgive me for misunderstanding.
-
No harm, no foul. I would never presume to ask you to accept my religious beliefs. That is beyond my way.

Yes, testifying is what Jesus did. When you spread the strength of having faith you are multiplying God's Gifts. There is only One God who speaks to us and reaches us however we each hear best. Good for you. As you know, when I was a new mom at 25 I suddenly went completely blind in my left eye. I then went blind on and off for 20 years with MS eroding my optic nerves each time. Now they are so thin they don't even show on testing. But faith makes me feel like I am whole. I don't feel like I'm lacking because God helps me with other strengths and b I essings like you too, your poetry, your family.
We can look at the many things wrong or the significant few things right. Faith as llows us that wide perspective. God continue to strengthen you for every weakness that hits.
With love, my dear friend,
Alex :) 🤗 â¤ï¸ xo

I agree with you. Faith is not religion. Faith is full on belief in the future. Belief that we can always be more and do more. We can help others no matter our restrictions. Lack of money, or lack of health, or lack of anything need not hold us back from helping. We are here to learn and to help. It is that simple for me. And, to spread Joy. Karen

Debi,
I am so sorry you are dealing with health issues. Like you say without faith you have nothing. I have a loving father in heaven and I can't wait for the glorious day to meet him.

Faith is believing in things not yet seen. You can't wait until something bad happens and then try to have faith. Faith has to already be there. I agree with you. Faith is to be shared, like a product that worked well for you, or a good movie that you recommend.
Thank you for describing what faith means to you and how it has helped you. Your faith has brought you a mighty long way, and your story is inspirational.
