Congratulations on your milestone. This tale depicts an inspiring real world message about never being discouraged. The sporting world encourages individuals to strive as they overcome any disadvantage. The writer has skilfully crafted an apt response to the prompt. Well done..

Very well done.
I loved watching Larry play. He was at his best during the years that I was best able to follow sports. (I worked nights for several years.)
And as fas as I know, Larry Bird is a good guy!
Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much Wayne. Yes, Larry Bird is a good guy. I got to play against him once in high school. I grew up at 40 miles from where he lived, so our high school played his during our youth. Thank you for the great review! I truly appreciate that!

To tell you the truth, I am tabula rasa when it comes to baseball, I look and I try to figure it out, but I am missing "the exercise." Otherwise, is a well written story.

A wonder to watch at all levels. I remember the NCAA finals and the game Magic and Larry played, then the NBA games in the 80s. Went to a finals game at the Forum in LA. One of my best times was at a Lakers game and sat in Kareem's seats. As a Veterinarian I saved his cats from severe burns and smoke inhalation and this was his thank you.

Thanks, also had Toni Tennille sing to me when examining her dogs. Had to smile and thank her.

Hi Harry,
I love this tribute to Larry Bird, who was a man I happened to be a contemporary with. I also lived in Indiana at the time he was there in High School. He didn't play on any team I was a part of, but he probably played my team at some point.
Thanks so much for sharing,
Rhonda

We could do with more sportsmen and women like him, Harry, what a truly dedicated youth and man he was to the game. You are right, his upbringing served him well, many who have hard childhoods grow up thinking the world owes them something. Larry Bird was obviously one of the best. I enjoyed reading his biography, you did a great job. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

This is a well-written autobiography about a truly great athlete who never seemed full of himself. He just played his best and did his job in life very well. It seems as if challenging childhoods created some of the greatest athletes.

Harry,
Very well written, informative piece on this Hall of Famer.
Personally I was never a Larry Bird fan, as I'm a NY Knicks fan. But I have to admit, he is one of the great ones
Again, well written.
Hmph... maybe I'll counter with one on Walt Frazier,
Thanks for sharing,
John

This is a good bio of a well-known NBA player. I remember hearing his name for years on the sports news, but I wasn't much of a sports enthusiast. I went and looked up his daughter, Mariah, to see if she took after Larry or Dinah, then found out she was actually adopted as a baby. She's already 32 or 33 now.
Suggestion on last sentence: I think I might set off the name Dinah with commas.

A wonderfully written summary of such a consequential NBA player. What a player he was, and that 92 Dream Team, phew. Well done, Harry, this was a pleasure to read.
Keep Writing,
