What an amazing place, Harry. That it is still family run is incredible in itself, those smaller places are normally eaten up by the big boys for a price. So they have my complete admiration. It's much to far for me to come, from the UK, I'm can't fly anymore. But you have painted such a good picture about it, I'm more for FS will visit. And I love that there is a town called Santa Claus! Well done, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

We are not large theme park type of people. Our vacations are much more subdued. LOl This park in Indiana sounds as if it might be a place to try. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Yes, Barbara. If you like smaller parks this one works. It is spread out too so not very cramped at all and not packed like Disney World thats for sure. Thank you for the review!

A little too far for to visit now, the trip from Sydney or Melbourne to Los Angelos or San Francisco is about 16 hours, and the transfer to a domestic flight, then a further 5 hours or so, my daughter, hubby and grandsons lived in New York fo four years, we came every year, four times, and did some road trips, but they're back in Oz.now. But sounds mouth wateringly wonderful Harry, great job, blessings Roy

I can't say I am positive, but I remember my parents visiting a Santa Claus Christmas Store numerous times when they traveled from Illinois to Ohio to visit friends. This sounds so awesome for families...especially with all the awards for cleanliness and friendliness. It sounds more "family" oriented than the "big business" ones. Great story, Harry. Thanks for sharing.
Smiles, Carol

I really enjoyed your story! You did a fantastic job of bringing to light the rich history of Santa Claus Land! I enjoyed reading about how it grew into the amazing place it is today. I loved how you shared the park's evolution with so many cool facts, It's clear this place has a lot to offer beyond just theme park fun. Thanks for sharing this hidden gem with me! I'll definitely keep Spencer County in mind for future travel!

Well, Harry, I think you should be significantly recompensed for this by the local Tourist Board! You couldn't have portrayed a fuller picture although, I did get a little confused as to whether it ended up being called Holiday Land or Santa Claus Land (note paras 5 and 6 from the bottom). Maybe they remain separate so apologies for my confusion. Well done on this informative post! Debbie
