You speak for all of us grandparents. Yes, "with growth comes distance" but hopefully, not emotional distance, just the physical distance. But we can keep in touch through texts and calls. Thanks for this lovely poem about loving our grandkids. Loved that picture!!

The Vikings still won't make it to the super bowl, before the youngest one is 18. The Vikings break your heart every year. I have a bunch of those fans in my house.

Do you remember what a beauty our red head tattoo artist has turned into. Just look at that awkward looking pre-teen sitting on the couch. It's hard to believe it is the same girl. They sure do grow anc change, don't they? Thanks for the lovely review and words. You are good for the soul. LOL.

The poem is well written, and flows beautifully.
I like the part about nature meaning growth, and with growth comes distance. That was a very good thought, and something I hadn't considered with my own grown children and growing grands.

Hi John, yes, you are so right. I bought these Brett Favre jerseys because I was so thrilled that he had come across the border battle lines and joined the Vikes. (who can't seem to get rid of that post-season curse) I had a fun football crush on Brett anyway, even when he played for the Packers too. So I was thrilled and of course I bought all my kids and us one too. I even told Glen about my football crush. He thought I was so silly. So it was a fun year until the horrible Saints played dirty and ended his career. I never have forgiven them since. LOL.
Anyway, thanks for all the awesome comments for my poem and my precious grandkids. Take a look at Kenzie in that picture and then go look at the text I am going to send you. She is just a pre-teen in this picture and kind of awkward stage, y'know? I will send you a picture of her on her 21st birthday last summer out with her parents. She doesn't look like the same girl. And yes, she is the one who does some of my art and who I wrote,
"I Love You More" for. I will go send it to you now. Thanks again for all the kind comments, as you are so sweet. Love ya lots, sweet bro. Debi

Hi Roy, yes, we could but it seems man cannot love that much because sin has made it harder. My grandpa told me that And yet, I can't imagine loving more than I do.
