My little granddaughter when she was a little, not a big teenager like she is now, would crawl up on my lap when she was tired and go to sleep when she was little, such a lovely memory of those days. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

When my grandbabies were little and stayed over night. And they would wake in the morning, we could always hear the shuffle of their feet from the one piece sleepers with the feet attached. They would head right for my rocking chair with their blankies and they loved that I rocked and sang to them. It was "Hush little baby, don't say a word" but then I changed the words to "Grandma's going to tell you about our Lord." And then I would sing the praises to God. They loved all the stories I would sing about and I finally got pretty good about rhyming stories about the Bible. They loved it.

This is a beautiful and endearing poem I came across when browsing through,( not really.) I usually look at the writers who entered a contest that I am in as well; check out the competition. After this, I read the winner's work, and voila, there was this poem that I adore, need I say more. It is well versed, flows nicely with good rhyme, and the presentation lends itself to a strong imagery to which I can relate.
