Hello Debi,
if only the snow would stay soft and fluffy and clean. Unfortunately in pretty short order it becomes dirty and ugly and shows up in patches that look hideous. I much prefer a green landscape, but unfortunately, so does half the rest of the older population, along with bugs, snakes and scorpions. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

I love your rhyming poems that run very smoothly. Yes. I like this new snow, too in St. Paul because I ski. The new snow feels much better than the man-made crystals.

Excellent. I love the humor.

Congratulations, you almost made Winter weather sound attractive. Almost, I have spent far too many uncomfortable years in the cold and the snow to ever have my opinion changed by some pretty prose however.

Oh Debi,
What a great image of winter and snow you've portrayed in your delightful poem!! We had the cold, we had the precipitation, but not at the same time. While most of Dallas got blanketed, our community just got cold rain. I got to live the snowfall vicariously through your poem. Thank you!!

Much love,
Rhonda

I grew up in Illinois, got to Texas by way of the Army. I remember how beautiful the snow was. It's not a mess. It's gorgeous. I had fun playing in it. Illinois actually had four seasons. One didn't have to check out the calendar to see what season it is. I loved your poem until the last line. LOL I know I might be dreaming of the past.

LOL, it was supposed to be funny. Cause if you ever really lived in it long enough you would know that a blizzard is no fun at all. It is a mess. It is hours and hours of clean up each time. We get a couple feet dropped on us and horrible winds. Dangerous and traffic doesn't move. But I purposely wrote about all the good parts of snow and added the bad part at the end to be funny. hahaha. Sorry about that, Sweetie. LOL.

I had two sons born during a blizzard and it was extremely difficult to get to the hospital.

OMGosh, Barb, I had one daughter born at that time and we barely made it in time as the drifts were blocking travel on the road. You didn't have one born in 1975 did you? That is when Michelle was born and will be 50 years old in March. I was 20 when I had her. That is scary, isn't it?

Heh heh, yes, while fresh snow has a definite upside, eventually it had a downside, I can remember the snow falling in 2012 I wintertime in New York, 16 inches fell on Boxing Day, and soon became a mooshy mess, heh heh, this is so beautifully written dear Debi, am excellent post, blessings Roy

I understand how you could get sick of the snow if you get it regularly. But I haven't seen snow or even flurries in about five or six years. When ever the mention of snow is in the forecast, I always pray that I will see just an inch or so. We always just get cold rain. I will fantasize about your poem. Gretchen

As always, you are so sweet and considerate and I appreciate very much that it would be nice to see the enjoyable snow that I first tease you with,, but nobody wants the blizzard.

Thanks again for your friendship of you. Much love. Debi

Beautifully written my friend and next-door neighbor. How much do you have on the ground where you're at? We don't have much and can see brown grass yet and only get a flurry or two now and then. Yes, snow can be beautiful until the plows come by, and you can't get out of your own driveway. Take care with this cold weather.

We got two inches yesterday, so it is coming your way, if not there by now. Usually what we have one day, you guys get the next day. Today the sun is shining but the temps are dropping fast. Ugh! God bless, my sweet friend.

I relate to this post. lol I love the idea of snow and the look of it so beautiful. But I am so tired of the cold making me sick and I am longing to see grass and growing things again. Great poem. Thanks for sharing.
