Hi Debi, well said my beautiful friend...
a whole new year sweet girl...and satan
will be looking to recruit more people into his cult...
God has shown His love to us in so many ways...
by the greatest gift ever given...He sacrificed His son
so our sins would be forgiven...I have said it many times...
and I'll say it again...God/Jesus loves us like no other...
no one is perfect...and Jesus knows that...but trying to stay on
the path to Heaven...and following His words...as close to Him
as you can...is all He askes of us...keep God/Jesus in your heart...
and believe in Him...trust and have faith...
and I truly believe 2025 is going to be the start of a wonderful
year...and for many years to come...
I love your poem you...picture perfect...
very well written...love much...Linda xxoo

So Linda, if you got any sweeter, you would be full of sugar. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this lovely review and comments for my poem. As the last post of the year, I am so grateful you helped me get an ATB on this last post this year. This one was special to me, so I do appreciate your lovely six stars too. Thank you again, my wonderful friend!

Hi Debi,
What a great poem! You should have entered this in a contest. We should all have that New Year's resolution... have we done everything we could to redirect our family members back to God? It won't be so nice to be there in Heaven when our children and/or grandchildren are beyond the gate. Yet, the Bible says there will be no crying. How can we not cry for our loved ones, I ask you.
I hope I haven't been too picky with your poem. Several suggestions, but only use what you feel is correct. I only try to help with my suggestions. You are the author, and you have the final say.
Suggestions,
"Do I know I've done everything that is within my power" ... ( I suggest,
Did I do everything I could that is within my power)
"The world no longer looks at what the Bible said was sin" ... ( I suggest,
The world no longer looks at what the Bible says is sin)
"The baby we all worshiped at Christmas was Jesus Christ" ... ( I suggest,
The baby praised at Christmas is our Savior, Jesus Christ)
"Cause taking us to hell with him is mostly satan's goal" ... (I suggest,
Cause taking us to hell is surely satan's greatest goal)
*** Debi, I changed this last line because, in the previous line, you are talking about "God" and then you write "with him". I know you mean "satan" but he comes after "with him"... so that connection is lost.
Finally, the last two lines,
"And for your peace of mind, it's so important to forgive
Though some of us don't think alike, we must live and let live" ... ( my suggestion here is to reverse the lines, ending about how important it is to forgive. That makes a great statement. How can we expect God to forgive us if we don't forgive others? Therefore,
Though some of us don't think alike, we must live and let live
And for your peace of mind, it's so important to forgive)
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thanks to you, I not only have some dang good suggestions, I also have an ATB. Happy New Year to you!!! I appreciate it so much, Kimbob. You are the best. I will make the changes right after I save this. I am honored by the six stars too because this was actually one that God woke me up out of bed and had me write. I have covid once again but I have been praying for my kids and grandkids..
So that is why this one is so meaningful. Thank you again, my awesome friend. Love, Debi

I like the way your post points out that we have to have faith in the Lord to survive these tumultuous times. Sometimes it's hard, and you make allusions to that. We get pulled in all kinds of directions by people around us, some of whom conflict with our faith. But we have to keep the faith. Hang on. Great things are coming. estory

Dearest estory. It sounds like our idea of salvation is pretty much the same.

Happy New Year Debi to you and your family.
I enjoyed your "Instead of 2025 Resolutions." You always have a way of saying what many of us are thinking. Today is a great time to reflect and plan for the coming year, praying for our family and friends who don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We do know that satan is alive and well and wants their souls for himself.
Thank you for sharing my friend.
Blessings
Janet

Yes, Jesus will return, and we need to make sure we are ready. But we also need to make sure that we have done everything possible to spread His word to the non-believers and to those who struggle with their faith. Thank you for sharing this beautiful reminder with us.

Yes, resolutions are a big deal to bring in the New Year for many, but to me, why do so many make promises they know going in they are never going to keep. I made a resolution once, 50-years ago. I kept it. But the result of the difficulty, I've never made another. :-) Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you the Happiest New Year Ever!

Oh Debi, your poem is so striking and timely! It starts with your choice of artwork. I love it!!
Then, you lead us into a view of family and begs us to think about how if they would survive the second coming. Good question!!
You bring up satan and his plan as opposed to God's plan through His son.
Great job, my friend!!
Love and hugs,
Rhonda
