This chapter is heavy on dialogue, it is pretty realistic, true to the characters. In it, we see Sami and Noah moving through the different things they dislike about each other to an acceptance of them and a mutual agreement to change things in themselves. It is an articulation of what every couple has to go through to make a successful relationship. You have to compromise. estory

I think there is a big moment yet to come, having to do with what Noah was working when he told Sami he didn't want to get her hopes up. I don't know about all that touchy-feely stuff about what everyone's experience has been like while Sami has been in protective custody. It sounds like something Sami would think of, however. Recalling the encounter with the longhorn steer was funny. That certainly would have been an unforgettable sight. I've been thinking about this, and I think in future it might be a good idea for you to give a brief recap of what's happened previously instead of using the last part of the chapter. Great characterization. judi

That was just a thought for your next book. Maybe giving a summary of what happened would be more helpful that giving the last part. judi

Carol,

This is a great chapter. I am a little challenged, since I am just coming into the middle of the book. You capture your audience with the descriptions of the surrounding.

Your dialogue is perfect. It's almost like your readers are there and part of the conversation.

Great job.

Cecilia

Well, tomorrow is the big day. Freedom for Sami, but will it be? We will be finding out soon enough. Another excellent chapter, Barbara.

There are a couple of questions, I hope you don't mind.
1) - I've never heard anyone swallow loudly, yet you say Sami did. I did try to do it myself! Lol.
2) - This is something I've wanted to mention before now, but you have this particular saying cropping up a lot. Twice in this chapter, and others. You have her... smile lit the room... and her.... eyes lit the room.
I hope you didn't mind me mentioning them. Perhaps just, her eyes shone...
Other than that, it's such a lovely story. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

I will consider the eyed shone. I see what you're saying. I did swallow loudly to mean it was loud enough others could hear it as opposed to a silent swallow. I'll think about it too. I appreciate the suggestions.

This is a very warm, touchy-feely chapter, Barbara. I enjoyed it very much. It's nice to see people open up and show how much others mean to them. They've been through a lot of drama and were able to make strong bonds with each other. Nice job!
Smiles, Carol
