Congratulations Debi and Glen, it is an amazing achievement, when I think of all the kinks in the fabric of marriage having to be ironed out, there are a number of us here that have made that marital journey, but this is yours and Glen's, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you for sharing this tribute to your fifty years of marriage. I am positive that God is the center of this marriage and that you and Glen share unconditional love. It's obivious. Jan Murray's 'Could I have This Dance' and Vince Gill's 'Look at Us' are perfect for this poem.

Congratulations on your fifty years of married life. You and Glen have seen so much over the years, not only in your personal lives but in what's going on in the world. You are fortunate to have a wonderful family. It's wonderful to hear of a marriage that lasts. I think many young people don't care if their marriage survives. They just figure they can try again. In addition to the lovely thoughts in this, you have perfect the rhyme and flow. Best wishes. judi

Oh wow, Rhonda, thank you so very much. This means a lot to me, especially after all you have done for us already. Thank you for this wonderful review, words for this poem for Glen and for the six stars.
Which makes it so much harder for me to tell you that from when you did mine and I book cased it to give you a six today, well I was following the posts done for me in order and when I started to do yours, I realized that I had run out. So I need to ask for you to wait another week. I feel horrible about it, but I will be back and you will be first in line. The way it was,, I had just given the last couple five stars because I feared I would be in the red with sixes for a long time. LOL. Just kidding. Yours is worth a six and you will get one. Just was trying to be fair. I truly apologize.
Thank you again for this and I thank you with all my heart.

Debi, my dear, I?m not ranked in poetry, so please review it with a 5. I know the intent is there, and I love you for it. I?d rather you save the sixes for those fighting for rank. I?d so love to read your remarks on the poem.
Love you so very much,
Rhonda

This is an exquisite poem to Glen reminiscing over the past fifty years. I remember my own first month of marriage being like playing house. I especially like the verse about no clue about life with a spouse.
I'm so glad your special party went well and I hope you enjoy your FanStory book for years to come. Your friends here is poetry and story land are all cheering for you.

Congratulations! You told a beautiful story of your married life in this poem. You've been married longer than I've been alive. It's such an impressive milestone, especially in an age where marriages hardly last. I hope you continue added to your story together. Blessings,
Erika

Hi Erika, thank you so very much for the kindest review and words for my poem for my husband. This was so special as we never thought we would make it, so to be honored by all of our great friends here as well as at home is like another dream.
So thank you for being part of it. I hope we will be very good friends.
Also, thanks for the honor of your six stars, dear friend. Love, Debi
PS- I was over to your page earlier and fanned you, so hopefully soon will get over to see some of your work.

I hope so to, thank you :)

Hi Debi,
First of all congratulations on your 50th Wedding Anniversary. This poem tells your journey which starts the same as every marriage. I don't think anyone really knows what it means to be husband and wife when the say, "I do".
The rhyming couplets seem to go with each stage of the relationship. The rhymes are smooth and unforced.
Good luck in the future.
Have a great new week.

Thanks so much Joan. It feels weird to be married fifty years while I'm still in my sixties. LOL.
I did have a few friends who lived together so they knew what it was like to live with the same as a spouse when they got married. Y'know? I am glad we never did that.

You are most kindly welcome, Debi.
I know what you mean about living together. Some do it without ever getting married. Say like the common law marriages.

Hi Debi, It looks like you and Glen had a wonderful celebration for your golden anniversary. Your poem is a beautiful tribute to the years that you have spent together. I have a feeling that you still think that you are
Mrs. Right ... big-teeth smile.
Your poem reads and flows with loving thoughts from the past 50 years. I hope you make it another 50 years. That just might put you into the Guinness World Book of Records for a few categories.
Of special note:
My love and my heart, still yours, Glen my Dear
It was from the start, to our Fifty Year
(Happy Anniversary and many, many more)

Hello, Sweet sis. I am so touched again by your lovely review and your awesome words for my poem for Glen. Everyone loved the book and your page was laughed at by all the people around our age who were reminiscing all the fun facts about 1974.
Thanks again, and for the six stars too, my wonderful SOTU. Love you to pieces!! Debi

I thank God that I had six stars to award this heart warming, inspiring, stirring, just overwhelming work of art. Truly you managed to touch my spirit as well as my heart. I have always known that you were talented, but this is such a work of art that it stands beyond and above your previous work. This so awesome. It radiates the love that you share not only with your beloved husband, children, grands, friends and other family. This is a love that reaches and touches all with whom you come into contact with. I am convinced that God himself is smiling down at you at this moment. Well pleased with the accomplishment of one of his most precious creations.

Hey there, my sweet Nomi. This is the most wonderful review and kindest words I have ever heard from you. And you are always the best.
I am out of nomination votes right now but you are first when they restore in June.
I love that we both married so close together and that we both have such wonderful marriages. After all, it says something about the way we were raised. Actually I am being serious. We get along so well, like brother and sister for a reason. Because we have so much in common and I believe that is why we are so close like siblings. For that I am so thankful.
Thanks again for all the kind words for Glen's poem, and also the six stars.
You are the best, big bro. Don't ever forget it. LOL.. love, Debi
