The story gets more involved in this chapter. Sex trafficking is not a good thing ever. It never turns out for the good, someone gets hurt. Lots of movement in this chapter.

It is difficult to get those women to talk .The fear element would be too high..Nora had a narrow escape..
I admire you a lot .Post two novels simultaneously is no mean task..

Sami is likely to get herself and others into big trouble, particularly since she doesn't realise they are listening to her every word. Dressing up as a prostitute was naive, as she should have expected to be accosted by men. And the prostitutes won't open up to one who is not a regular on their beat. Even so, I am enjoying your writing, and looking forward to seeing where this leads.

Another great chapter! I think you are onto something very good here.

Keep the characters believable and human and this will be an awesome book. A six for me.

I'm enjoying this. It's a great story. Bit short of time at the moment but here are a few things I picked up.
I was doing this when you were in preschool (school).
"Probably a good idea.(")
Laughing(,) Sarah said, "Any reason you're living dangerously?"
Bob added, "Maybe just from you, Boss." Did you mean Bob added, "Maybe learned from you, Boss." ?
Pitch perfect dialogue and humour.

This is all very daring and dangerous on Sami's part in her effort to find Myra and, so far, she's been lucky and looked after but I get the feeling her luck might start to run out. The communication is a novel idea and gives this story a further layer to the theme of human trafficking. Thanks for sharing this emerging and original story, Barbara. Debbie

I'm sorry I've gotten so far behind in reviewing. I saw this today and decided I had to read it although I see this is the second chapter already. I love your idea for this story and it's a bit of a change of pace for you, exploring the issues of human trafficking and the girls living on the streets, at the mercy of their johns (I don't think you need an apostrophe for the word.) I like Noah intervening when Sami gets into a tricky situation by telling the guy he and Sami are going to a community meeting. These are terrible circumstances, but the girls are afraid to make any statement to anyone who might be police. I like the addition of the dog. There's a lot of concern for Sami, as she's not law enforcement but someone who wants to help find the missing girls. Great start with this. Don't let Sami have to be rescued too many times. judi

Thank you for the kind review. Sami can take care of herself or she thinks she can.

The subject matter of this book is rather difficult for me. I will try to check in to this book once in a while.
As always you have likable characters. It seems that car traffic gets in the way as these heroes fight against human trafficking.
I liked the banter between the policemen.

Thank you for the kind review. After three or four more posts, things ease up a little and the problem is in the background as I concentrate on the romance. Just so you know, they do find Myra and close down this human trafficking ring. PS This is set in Houston and there's a joke about Houston is about an hour away from Houston. It's about the traffic. I had to include the traffic.

I know! I lived in Houston six years and taking our daughter to Second Baptist School took us an hour in what should have been only 20 minutes!!

LOL thank you for the catch. Sometimes my fingers move slower than my brain, and I get strange things, then I read it as if it's correct. I appreciate your review.

Hi Barbara, I liked this continuation. Sami is taking too many chances not knowing what she's getting herself into. I'm glad she's being looked after. At least so far.
Jose added,"You may (be) the first guy a woman thought was nice and handsome ...
I'm looking forward to reading on. Ulla:)))

Thank you for the catch. Yes, Sami has a problem of acting before she thinks things through. I appreciate the kind review.
