We've been watching this here from the start too. My emotions are engaged. This is an excellent poem for the challenge. Your presentation is very good, too. You also use descriptive words and colorful imagery that draw in many readers. I am a Biden supporter but freedom of speech leads me to respect yours.
With peace,
Alexandra

Thanks so much Alex. I appreciate your kind comments. And I too respect your opinions and feelings. Actually I was trying to make it more so about facts, but was truly hard to keep emotions out of it. I do thank you again, as I appreciate your friendship.

Amen, Debi, Amen!!
Living in Texas, invasion is a daily thing. We try and try to get others to understand this danger, but they act like we are being racist. We know who's coming across this border. Yes, some are innocent people trying to find a better life, but with them comes calamity - those who know exactly how to get in, undetected, into our country.
As for Israel, my heart goes out with the millions around the world who are appalled at what has happened to our brother and sisters in God's Holy City and land.
Thank you for sharing this poem,
Love,
Rhonda

Oh Rhonda, I love your beautiful picture. I meant to comment on it before, and I do love your beautiful hair. Thanks so much also for the kind comments for my Woe poem. This subject weighs heavy on my heart.
You are so sweet. Lotsa love, my dear one. Debi

Thank you, Debi! I don?t know what happened to the picture I had on before, or even what it was, I joined so long ago, so I decided I needed to put something more recent.
Lots of love to you, too, sweet lady,
Rhonda

A great message about the travesty going on in Israel. It is definitely something to worry about even here in America. And I'm glad that tou mentioned the innocent affected on both sides. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Gramalot8, you intrigued me because I am taking it that you are a special grandma, as I tell everyone that I was born to be a grandma. Lol..anyway I went on your site to read your profile and I read about you losing a grandchild. I am crying at just the thought of it for you, and I just want you to know how very sorry I am. God bless you for coming back and being with our second family and I hope you are getting the much needed compassion you so deserve. And with tears, I will tell you, God bless you and your family.
I thank you for this awesome review of my Woe poem. Yes, it is scary to know that there are people like this in the world and even worse that innocent bystanders, like children are caught in the web of evil. I appreciate your kind comments too, my very dear friend.

Debi?/ thank you so much for your kind and compassionate words. If you like, go to my portfolio and read my latest about Amber. It?s entitled ?I Thought if You Today? . We just remember her recently on the 9th anniversary of her passing. Thanks again.. Gramalot8? Jerri

I read it already when I was on your site before, but knew I could not finish this if I tried to review it. So I just finished the last of my thank you's and was just coming your way to review it now.
I can barely think about how it must be but she was so blessed to have an awesome grandma like you.

Hi Debi,
This is an informational and emotional poem about the war restarted by Hamas and Palestine against Israel. This is the most volatile part of the world, it seems. How do they know how many illegals crossing over are just those trying to get away from the drugs and despotic governments and how many are potential radicalized terrorists?
I like the patriotic colors red white and blue for us and blue and white for Israel.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a good rest of the day.

You are right, Joan. I just know from my trusted sources is that many are coming in daily. They must have a way of watching some because they have a bunch in prison right now. It is one thing to let people in, but I don't believe in bussing them in when we can't help the ones we have here right now.
However that doesn't mean I am not sympathetic, just cautious.
Thanks for you kind comments, my dear friend.

You're welcome, Debi.

This is an excellent poem. It is perfect for the contest Day of Woe. You are right last Saturday was a day of woe for Israel. This was indeed horrible. I hope and pray that this won't be the beginning of WWIII. Yes, a lot of bad things are going on in America and our country has never been more divided.

A beautiful, heartfelt poem. I do not support war of any kind but unfortunately people are left with little choice when others attack civilians and penetrate their homeland.
The passion in your poetry is palpable. Thank you for sharing. Jacqueline

Good luck wishes regarding the contest entry, Debi. The Day of Woe began when Israel was attacked by Hamas. This is totally wrong. God created good for a reason. For Israel, for America, for the World, we will pray for peace! Blessings n Hugs!!!

we must stand with Israel. They are allies of America, unfortunately, Biden is president and does nothing. This is a fantastic contest entry, best of luck. :)

Not only do we have an idiot president, we have the same kind of a governor. I hope that doesn't offend you, hon, but there are things about him that make the Christian in me,not feel so Christian.
His take on abortion, gender changes for kids, telling all of them to come into our state and we don't even have to tell your parents.
Anyway, I am off topic, but since we both come from the same state it is nice to connect. It is always good to hear from you, and thanks for being such an awesome friend, Sharon.

The horrible act of war recently struck against Israel affects the entire world. With the U.S. not really knowing who has come over its border in the past two years, this country is more vulnerable to terrorist attacks than ever before.
You have posted a strong poetic view of an ongoing woe that is being seriously and effectively addressed in counterattack efforts. Thank you for sharing this contest entry and making an appeal for a prayer of peace concerning Israel, America, and the World.
Best wishes always, Lily

I am praying for Israel and for the US. We are in deep trouble. Yes, terrorists have crossed our boards. Also, some things many Americans don't realize. Those weapons we left in Afghanistan, are now in the hands of Iran who gave them to Hamas. Not only that the 6 billion dollars we gave to Iran is also funding Hamas. So, now are we not only sending troops to Israel we are finding against a group we helped fund. The US has issues. Thank you for sharing.

Barb, I thank you for this awesome review of my Woe poem. I thought about getting into the weapons too, but I fear my poem would have never ended. But I am sorry, but Ihave such a horrible attitude about the one who opened the borders, left the weapons, etc, etc,,,,, I can't even stomach the sound of his voice, so I am trying to work on it as it isn't very Christian of me.
And Yes, it is scary to know that there are people like this in the world and even worse that innocent bystanders, like children are caught in the web of evil. I appreciate your kind comments too, my very dear friend.
