Yep, I agree, I can remember feeling little sympathy for the aged, now I'm one of them, I'm not too bad, Elaine and I refuse to share our medical treasures with others, but it funny listening to the younger ones share theirs. Beautifully written dear friend, just love it, blessings Roy

As you say, what goes around, comes around. And all the kids that snicker behind our backs will very quickly find that out. Time passes so fast. I hate to say it but what you have, so discretely written, here, the problems of aging is unfortunately too true! I really enjoyed having a giggle with this one, Jim. Well done. :) Sandra xx

Lines three is oh so true, and though it hasn't happened, yet I expect line four I'll soon possess. As for Vicissitudes, I thought it wrong until the following line. The only suggestion I could give, not that it needs be changed, in gone happen by using go'in to happen. Your friend, Tom

Pretty funny. I remember running with my dad. He was a bit slower than what I would have liked so I ran backwards. He didn`t like that and even told me so. A reason I like the insurance commercials that talk about turning into your folks.

Ran backwards, huh? Now that's funny! I can see why he didn't like that.

I don`t think I would either. He had been a professional athlete so having me there running the way I did was a little irreverent now that I think about it. Your writing is certainly varied.

Yes, what goes around does come around.
We warn them and warn them just as we were warned, but do they listen? No.
What a crazy cycle. But we have to laugh, crying never did any good!
Nice job.

Oh, the myopia of youth! Laughing about it is certainly the best medicine. It's also great having a same-age spouse you can joke about it with.

Our oldest just turned 40. She is in excellent health. Will I laugh or groan when she has to use reading glasses?
    LOL.

This is hilarious, Jim! OMG! I'm cracking up here! I actually started with the photo art. Thanks for enlarging it for the blind. I remember my grandparents vividly since I lived with them during my parents troubled years. I was a gas!

Thankfully, my grandchildren don't do this to me. As granddad (my husband) tells them, "Your Grammy is off limits!"

Thanks for sharing.

Sending you my best today as always.

Thanks very much, Sal. You're lucky to be off-limits, though I have to say it amuses me to be teased by the young-uns in my family. It's also great to have a spouse who you can commiserate with and laugh along with at ourselves.

This is a fun poem with plenty of examples of why the youngsters laugh at us old folks and you make many good points about how they will get older too it is a necessary plan of life. Thank you for this humorous poem with the picture to match it gives us geezers something to laugh about when they make fun of us.

That's the attitude, Jesse. It's also fun to laugh along with them, and tell them, "It'll happen to you one day!"

Yes, I agree. They have no idea what will happen to them when they get old. So, laugh along with them!
