Oh no! Was Kenny's dad killed? He never doubted that he would see his father. Now one would wonder about the mother and why she was so quick to assume that her husband left!

I suggest that the characters? mental health is an issue in both Kenny?s reaction to seeing his father?s appearance and the wife?s apathy and rapid pursuit of new relationships.
