The new Groundskeeper, Nicholas, at fourteen years of age could only be amazed to find such fantasy like occurrences happening on the Estate that he has to oversee. So, can he believe his eyes when he runs into these characters? And, how does he aim to control such goings on?
Interesting dilemma.

Thanx for dropping in on Nicholas and company, Ralf! ;) Take care this week! ;) Yvette
P.S. Sorry for the delay - was one of those 'disorganized' weekends - lol!! ;) :)

This is utterly charming and filled with antics and funny dialogue. I could imagine my granddaughter having fun either reading or listening to this garden story.

The imps sound quite a lot like young children. They can't be all bad, though, if they like blueberries, ha. Quite the image with their extra arms. Thanks for posting something definitely unusual from any other portrayal.

Got lots of unusual over here, my lady, especially now that summer is here! ;) Thanx so much for keeping up with the shed -- hoping to get this wrapped up before summer's end... but we'll see what lies ahead!! ;) Take care, Crystie! ;) Yvette

Such a fun story to read. It's been a long while, but coming back to it is like coming back to, well, to a beautiful garden. And Jerry's performance was rather amusingly over the top.

Yes, that's Jerry: over-the-top! ;) Thanx for dropping in for an update on the garden shed... I'm hoping to get this wrapped up before summer's end... but we'll see what lies ahead!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

I was shocked to read Jerry, simply fell over and died... thank goodness he is okay. Shot was a muddy mess...I can almost see them covered in honey. My grandson would love this story if it had pictures. He is only 3 years old. Well done, Yvette, a very exciting chapter.

I remember reading to my boys when they were even younger than that -- love to watch those 'wheels turning' in those little minds as they absorb every word!! ;) :) Thanx so much for keeping up with the shed, Gypsy -- I'm hoping to get this one wrapped up before summer's end... but we'll see what lies ahead!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

I love this story. I hope now that you're finished with school we will see chapters more often. These characters are delightful, and your descriptions create such vivid images. I can imagine those imps all covered in honey and mud. It laughed out loud when the first two imps wanted Archie to get them all wet too.
I look forward to the next installment.

Thanx so much, W.J., for those awesome stars, my lady, and YES!! I certainly plan to get my imagination (and my typing fingers) back into high gear now that 'the final school quarter from hell' (lol!) is finished finally - ugh!! ;) :) And I do believe that Archie's a good 'imp tamer', don't you think? ;) :) lol! ;) Thanx so much for keeping up with the shed -- I am hoping to get this wrapped up before summer's end... but we'll see what lies ahead!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

I'm adding more here :)
Do you think that something should be done with "the pink abomination"? Doesn't it need to be italicized or something? Capitalized? something, because it is referring to Archie in particular. it's calling him a name...I don't know exactly, but it gets lost in the sentence when it should stand out...
-------------------------------------------
This is so interesting and well written. How do you do it? The kids will love it! Anyone will love it. The writing is wonderful for teaching the kids good punctuating, grammar, rhythm and flow, sentence structure, just by listening. It's better read to them since the elements would stick better that way. Like learning cadence. I love the way the appearances of the characters is revealed as the story is unfolding. Love the activity and expressions of the characters.
Nothing to improve. Except maybe, "their performance" to "this performance. Strong I think. More punchy. Sometimes pronouns are hazy.
Thank you so much for the pleasurable read. Look forward to reading the rest!
Lucy

I remember my teachers reading to us all through grade school -- was usually at 'nap' or 'rest' time... ;) :) And I read to my boys from the time they could sit on my lap (less than a year!)! ;) Thanx for your review on this chapter, Lucy -- would love to see you get caught up and follow along with the fun this summer! ;) :) I am hoping to get this one wrapped up before summer's end... but we'll see what lies ahead!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

What a cute picture you paint in my head with your words. I could easily see the mischief going on and the knome settling it with water. You did an excellent job with no errors that I picked up on. Have a great day. Shirley

This was a great continuation chapter, Yvette. I didn't think it was too long and I am so glad you didn't disrupt Jerry's performance. It was rather quick thinking on Archie's part to not only do the blueberry trick but also the water splash. Very well done, very much enjoyed, be safe, be well.

Berrys of power, Yvette? :) I like those feisty little imps they remind me of two children not getting any candy. :) Good to see you're in writing mode. Hope to read many more chapters (At least a few). Maybe a different short line like Maggie? :) I know it's harder because of all the characters and magic. It's a book your are writing there for us wanderers in the fantasy realm. Thank you for sharing this pre-teen story. Take care of yourself.

Oh, Maggie's next on the agenda.... look for that chapter soon. Just getting my imagination up and running after finishing off that awful end to the school year -- let's just say they simply don't pay us enough for the trouble that was - lol!! ;) :) Thanx so much for keeping up with the shed, Jose -- hoping to get this one wrapped up before summer's end... but we'll see what lies ahead!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette
