"Letters from Heaven's Gateway"
What a beautiful as well as wonderful title!
I like to write about my thoughts of Heaven sometimes very colorful sometimes very childish sometimes I include my 18 year old son who we donated his organs going on 17 years ago now that we're into a new year.
Happy New Year and good luck with this!

Sally,
This is a most powerful and very well written story. I had to grab a tissue or two. I can't wait to read the others. Keep sharing your stories of the human superpower of forgiveness. Happy New Year and many Blessings,

Sally, why do your stories put tears in my eyes? What a beautiful story about a father and his daughter. Cancer is definitely a nasty disease. Cannot wait to read your next chapter.

Yep. This brought out the Kleenex. The whole box! Your ability to reach into the emotional interior of the human soul is quite astounding. Of course, there are too many stories such as these that sadly go the opposite way, but we need to hear and read of the positive, happy endings to know they exist. You convey this type ending with such eloquence.
Such a gift, Sally. You are a gift.

-The image fits the story well, Sally.
-It is written well as you show two
points of view to develop it.
-We learn about Carl first, and how
cancer has advanced. His letter
comes from his heart, as he expresses
regret, but also shares fond memories.
-I like how we don't know his relationship
to Tamara until the end of the letter.
-Then, we learn how sad it is that
so much time has gone by, and now
he hasn't much left, and can only hope she responds.
-In the meantime, Tamara gets a message
from her husband, and she doesn't
question the need to get home as soon as possible.
-Then, you take us back to Carl, and
your description of his condition
is written very well; we can feel his pain.
-The reconciliation of the family is
done very well, too, and I am sure Carl
will rest in peace, and Tamara can
always remember she shared her
family with her father, and his name
will live on in his grandson.
-It takes us back to the beginning
when you outline the premise of
why people do wait so long "to make amends."
-Well done, and thanks for sharing the story.
-Have a great New Year!

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sally. It always means a lot when my comments are appreciated.
I was surprised you posted it before the new year. It is an interesting concept.

This line will draw the reader in and will cement their relat6ionship with the story: "How could he have done such a thing? " This is a very powerful theme. The reader will identify with the first part of the father's dilemma or gratefully with the last, there is redemption before we die. Or the reader may will identify with the first part of the daughter's dilemma or gratefully with the last. There is grace and an ability to forgive. This leaves endless directions for this to go. Well written.

Thank you, dear Liz. I have great respect for people who never think it's too late. I am not only a hopeless romantic, but hopeful for reconciliation. I hate to see people die as fools.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings for the new year,

Hi Sally, This is the type of thing that we can all learn from. Don't leave things until it's too late. Hold out that olive branch and hope it does something good. I did that this Christmas. For some unknown reason I've been on my sister's s*** list for a long time now, and her entire family with her. I have no idea what I did. For Christmas, I made my parents a family history album with a lot of things that are really difficult to read, transcribed, and pictures, etc. I made a copy for my sister. My other sister took it to her today and told me that she loved it so much she said thank you 3 times!!! Just none of them have been to me. Can't win 'em all I guess!

Thank you for the excellent review and personal comments. I'm pleased you enjoyed this one. There are three more in this series. I'm glad you tried with your family. I still have members that have been hardened and refuse to budge. I refuse to be that way. If we can't get it right with the people closest to us, what then? Stay at it.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings for the new year,
Sally xo
Comment from Loren .
Well written with warmth and heart and an understanding of someone who has been there, the emotions bubbling over with truth. In a way, untying the binds that tether us to mortal life. I can understand, too why you've chosen Bocelli for your background to this work. He was once asked if he could choose between his voice or his eyesight, he answered, without hesitation, his voice. Looking forward to the next installment. Loren

Thank you so much for the lovely review and kind comments, dear Loren. I'm so pleased you enjoyed my first of four. I love Andrea Bocelli and used him in my other love letters based stories. His relationship to his sons makes his music even more appealing. Again, your review means the world to me.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :))
