Thank for the information about Brownies, and the fun story! Poor little guy, first he's teased about the pants, then he doesn't get the treat he wants.

Thanx so much for your review on Arindle and Drombel -- I am waaaay behind on my responses as we had teacher meetings this week -- yes, already!! Please forgive the tardiness and 'cut-n-pastiness' of my response (LOL!)....I'll be caught up soon...I hope! :) Take care out there! ;) Yvette :)

Great story, Yvette.
The second paragraph is hilarious. Arindle is quite cheeky.
The notes are also very interesting and the picture is gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing.

This was definitely delightful and enjoyable to read Yvette. I do believe Arindle managed to pull the wool over Drom's eyes. I appreciated your narrative notes that provided great information regarding a brownie. Very well done.

These guys sound an awful lot like House Elves as seen in the Harry Potter movies. I sure wish a Brownie would come to my house. Heavy sigh... I'm not known as a good housekeeper.
This is a fascinating subject :)

Hi Yvette, I really enjoyed reading this.
The author notes were really interesting and your story was fun and engaging.
I particularly enjoyed the description of Arindle scratching his belly and everything else wobbling!
Cute and entertaining.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes as always, Debra :)

LOL! So glad I gave you a little grin with this one, my lady ... rumor on the grapevine is that mom (that's you!) could use the smile about this time of the summer!! ;) :) Take care of you and your troop and have a great rest of the week! ;) ;) Yvette

Okay, where can I find one of these Brownies? Because they are not coming to my house. Or maybe they are, my card paper keeps disappearing. Maybe they are taking it. This is very fun, I had never heard of a Brownie. Rox

Oh, I do so wish I knew....I've needed one for decades now - LOL!! ;) ;) Yep, you must have some at your house...why else would folks at our young age be losing things, yeah?! ;) ;) Thanx so much for your review, Rox -- so enjoyed it and the smile you gave along with it! ;) ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

Thank you for the depiction of brownies and the matching artwork. On a personal note, your story brought back visions of my mother ironing (even socks) at midnight, since she also worked during the day. As a result, I never iron, but stand by my clothes dryer to immediately hang up wash-and-wear clothes! Smiles- Joan

LOL I adore fairy tales and all forms of fantasy. I have also conducted lengthy studies of such myterious creatures. This was an enjoyable view into the busy and mischievous lives of a pair of industrious brownies!

Oh my goodness, me too, Rod!! ;) :) Love the huge new worlds we can create and not worry about all the craziness going on in the real world.... one can even make it intriguing or dark - and it's freedom for the imagination!! ;) ;) Thanx so much for your review here -- both Arindle and Drombel would thank you....but they don't interact that way! ;) ;) LOL! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

This is an adorable little story and so creative. The picture was so entertaining, as well. He is sitting a little close to that burning candle. LOL! This is my selection for this contest entry. I don't know who votes for these things, but I'd sure like to know how that works. Maybe it's just more for the challenge and the encouragement of writing, which works for me as well. :+) Kinda like the Nonet for the ninth . . . .
Sending you my best today and for the contest,
Sally xo

Oooooo, you're right.... guess he might be okay just as long as he doesn't stand to close to it... LOL! ;);) And, yeah, I'm new to this, too, but I was under the impression that there was no voting...just the challenge - at least that's the auspices under which I signed up! ;) ;) Love the variety! ;) ;) Thanx for the review, Lady Sal -- you know the blonde and her crazy fantasies....this one was right up my alley! ;) Take care, my friend, and have a great evening! ;) Yvette

A very well-written poem about a nightly occurrence in our homes when they come to do all the little tasks we could not get to during the day, as long as we leave them some honey or cream.
