There are some writers I'm not all that fond of - sure - that is, they ramble on a bit - but that's what this site offers - a chance to air your views, write it all out - and I truly appreciate that. didn't know you could block folks - so far I havent' wanted to...blessings.

I disagree with everything you wrote in regard to your post, which isn't a story, but an advertisement. I believe most people here are terrible writers, and I will not read what they've written--published, or otherwise--if someone paid me. Thanks for the FS buck.

Sandra, congratulations on getting your book published! It certainly gives hope to other aspiring authors such as myself.

I love the humility you show in this essay, allowing for the fact that your writing didn't, perhaps, start at the level you'd thought, and accepting and acknowledging the advice and suggestions given by your fellow FanStory writers. It takes a strong person to say they need help, and an even stronger person to accept help when offered. You obviously have the necessary combination of talent and strength to make it in this industry, and I wish you continued success.

Even though one reviewer disagreed and said most of us on here are terrible writers! Sad, really. You're very welcome, Sandra. I've met many lovely people on this site, and benefitted from their knowledge. The one snarky reviewer you mentioned is correct in that there are several poor writers on the site, but aren't we all here so that, with the help of our fellow writers, we can get better? If we were perfect when we began, the site would be of no use to us, would it?

Congratulations!

It's always nice to hear when a FanStory member publishes a book; it's so encouraging. I wish you successful sales numbers and positive reviews on Amazon :)

I realise this piece isn't really one for critiquing, but there's one point that stared out at me:

and most likely will until I put my pen down for the very last time in the future. -- Personally, I would omit the in the future. The use of until implies it's a future event.
