Hello sandramitchell (Sandra)
Time to go home.
this chapter in you book This Time -
That Time 3 (The Powers-That-Be
is marvelously written with very clear detail of the action and I like the dialogue of the two different that is written in UK English, and Mildred's own dialect

Hey Barbara:
This is a fun chapter... I love how stand up they are in this paragraph...
"Petro and Leif are absolutely right to raise these questions," Kraid said, breaking into the tense unease, and, in his quiet placating way, he tried to calm the situation. "We've made some dreadful mistakes and lessons have to be learned from this fiasco. Instead of us apportioning blame, we must ensure these things never happen again."
Thanks as always for the read. yours, diana

Very nice and good to see Mildred is just fine. those Powers do seem to have a 'get of jail free card'. lol
"I could have made changes, and didn't. So,--" - I would remove the comma from here after so.
Give me a pillow to lay my head on, and I'll sleep for a week.- not sure you need the comma here.

LOL! They are a force unto themselves! I was hoping someone would let me know it the comma there was right or not, and you did. I notice you never mentioned the one with the three ellipses. ( , ... ) I take it that is right. The comma and M-dash, is a different thing as Petro interrupted Jowell. But I wasn't sure. I've taken that comma out now, but left the one with the ellipses in. Now I need you to confirm that's right!!
Thank you again for your help, Gareth. I do appreciate you so much. :) Big hugs. Sandra xxx

The powers-that-be better be far more viligant from here on out! They need to watch over and protect their time travelers or things won't go as they should. Thankfully Mildred is okay.

Thank you so much, Ron, for this lovely review. You are so right, they will learn from this, I think they will all be watching each other, especially Jowell, who is in charge, so to speak. Yes, dear Mildred is fine and making sure everyone knows it. lol! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Aha, you finally reveal some powers that be, and show them in emergency council over poor Mildred's pending demise. I am impressed with their descriptions and dialogue. You've given them personalities.
A nice segue back to 1996. Nice touch with Veronica's weariness. I delighted at Mildred's recovery, and how you introduced it. Mildred's description of how she was feeling was typically stoic and colorful.
I always enjoy the loving interchanges with Veronica and James and well as the easy friendship with Mildred. Another excellent chapter.

Thank you so much, Tom, for this really lovely review. I'm so pleased you like my characters. I'm going to miss them when I've finished this final book. They've been such a big part of my life this past three years. But, I've a little way to go yet. We have a little problem to sort out about the Vice Admiral! lol. Bit hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Mildred was rescued, but mistakes were made, and hopefully lessons learned. "You do realize she can't be brought back to life so soon after the last time?" Petro reminds Jowell. It's a reminder I hope Jowell keeps in mind the next time a dangerous situation arises for Mildred.
Great storytelling.

Absolutely! Veronica would be devastated if she lost her again, even though Mildred was returned very quickly the last time. It won't happen that way again. Thank you so much for another of you lovely reviews, Sandra. I do appreciate them a lot. :)) Sandra xxx

This is a wonderful chapter to your book. I love how you are presenting the powers that be. I also like that you are addressing an unknown time. This makes the story even more interesting. I am glad that Mildred is okay. I also think the powers that be are doing things that need to be done. Sending them both back and have Mildred kill the Vice Admiral is not a good idea. This would be putting Mildred back in danger I would think. Well done. It flows well and actually makes the time travel thing a little better for me with the powers that be.

Thank you so much, Sandra. Yes, the Powers-that-be have been there all the time, but Jowell has really taken Veronica for granted. He should be above that. Now Mildred will be having her say in the next part about the Vice Admiral. I think it will be fun! Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

You did a good job with this chapter, Sandra. I was worried about the women being left behind for good. A short rest will do both of them some good. So they will return to the hospital like nothing happened? I agree with James. The powers-that-be really got off lucky with this one. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thank you so much, Jan, for another of your lovely reviews. It will appear to Tommy that they hadn't left, and others that have got to know Mildred, but before they are returned, they will have had some chats about how to proceed with the Vice Admiral. Coming up next! Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Well this is interesting that the powers that be stepped in to fix Mildred. I didn't think we would hear from them at all. You fooled me. Now they will go back and try again. I cringe at Mildred having to kill someone.

Mildred is cringing too! LOL. She's really been stumped with that idea. The powers-that-be had to be brought in to thrash that out. Things weren't going well. Thank you so much, Joy, for this lovely review. You'll hear more of what Mildred thinks about the whole idea in the next part. :) Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I say go on strike after this! LOL! I'll make the signs. Great chapter!
Note:
I was so pleased to see she was all right,(.) I dashed over and gave her a hug.
In future, if anyone has the slightest concern regarding what's happening, bring it to my attention immediately, and we'll have another meeting." (Is this referring to future mode as when in future time or did you mean "In the future"? Or, is this how UK says in the future?

In future, is the way we in the UK say it when not specifically meaning 'the future'. You are not the only one to mention this, so I Googled it for my friend which showed both the UK and the US references to, 'in future'. Basically, it's similar to saying, Next time....
I'll change that comma, thanks so much, my friend. I'm glad you enjoyed this part. Big hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

Thank you for the UK lesson. I always love to learn something new. : )
