Good job, Sandra, on this continuation of your story of Veronica, Mildred and Tom. You did a great job writing about the vivid, and furious conditions they faced after the bombing. It all made sense and was very believable. Well done.

What an intense chapter full of imagery you have written, Sandra. I was engaged from start to finish to find out what was happening. You did a great job detailing the events, the people, the bombing, and the aftermath. This is one of your best works for this book. Great job and thanks for sharing. Jan

A terrific chapter, my dear. Totally absorbing and terrifying!
Two possible corrections:
a malevolent roar from above ripped at (is 'at' the right word? Ripped 'into', ripped 'through') my ears and had me bending over her in a futile attempt to offer protection.
Although it couldn't burn me, I instinctively jumped out (of) the way of the blazing fire.

Thank you so very much for another lovely review and another 6 stars!! I'll change 'at' to 'through' and I'll put the 'of' in that sentence. I think you always pick me up on that, it's just the way I speak! LOL. Big hugs, my friend. xxx :) xx

Hi Sandra, I can see I've been missing out not following this story, but what I have just read - after your last chapter was a cliff-hanger that left us wanting to know what was going to happen - then we got the answer and what a vibrant, powerful chapter. Great descriptive piece of writing, exciting - but you've done it again. Just when we think everything is working out and people are all safe, you leave us wondering!!! This is well calculated and it takes clever writing to leave the reader on edge wondering 'what next', at the end of each episode. You are simply oozing creativity. Very well done. Warm regards Dorothy xxx

Bless your heart, thank you so much, Dorothy, for the lovely 6 stars, and this very complimentary review!! The main reason veronica has been sent back, is still to be sorted, so there's quite a bit to go yet. I've had a few new readers so I think I'd better put a small synopsis on here, it'll make reading this easier. I'm so pleased you've got into it, that's brilliant. Chat later, I want to hear if you have any more news. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Oh my more suspense. What lays at the end of the tunnel? What is their future? Sandra you did fantastic with this chapter. I knew that Mildred would not die, because she just couldn't do so. I liked that you remembered about the lad's father's watch, that was an important touch. You provided great descriptions about all the various activities that went on. Fantastic. Hugs and smiles.

Well, they can't see the light yet, that's for sure! lol. Yes, the watch was important, after all, it nearly got Mildred killed. Not that she minded at all going to get it for him. Thank you so much for this lovely review, Alie, I really appreciate you. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

You are most welcome Sandra

Wow! Supreme drama as the roof is crashing down.
The backdraft is an added horror. So good she is a spirit and can't be harmed, but her anger is another fine touch.
The descriptions of the chaos in the tunnel are very convincing.
As usual, you very adeptly leave us hanging on a new concern. Excellent chapter!

Hi, Sandra,
This book is much, much darker than the previous two books. I also suspect Veronica is truly getting tired of the 'powers that be.'
As always, you do a wonderful job of creating tension and excitement. Looking forward to reading more,

Very good story. It has just the right amount of action to be interesting without dominating the story. Very well written. Thanks for sharing. Teresa ":~)
