Woo Hoo! Exciting chapter for sure.

I love the way you write the family. It feels so real and tangible. I like this little unit. Their cozy relationships with one another. Especially with James & Veronica.I like it. I crawl into these characters and I live this story with them.It's so much fun to read/ live. ;-)great job!

Thank you, Diana, for reading this part. No, the 3 refers to it being the third book in the series. (and final one!) I'm just over half way now with this one. You know me -- I haven't been following, and I'm not crazy about dropping in on a novel, especially one with as complex a plot as this one has... But, I also review as I read. I find it makes it easier to catch little things, so here's my suggestion:
I would have hyphenated "to-ing and fro-ing"...

Another great chapter, Sandra. Just when we were all worrying about how they were going to kill off the vice admiral, you've managed to drop another drama into the mix. We all know Mildred hasn't been killed off (the book wouldn't be the same without her!) but it will be interesting to see how Veronica deals with this latest challenge.

This is an emotionally packed scene and I can only imagine what Veronica is going through as she knows the changes that 'could' happen, and even 'might' happen.

I love that James was able to make her see that she IS capable of this task - otherwise, the powers that be wouldn't have sent her through time -- but, what of Mildred's job in all this?

I will have to continue to come back and stay up with this storyline - it makes me happy,

The writing is excellent and easy to follow even with coming into the middle of this story. (Time travel is a tricky topic to write IMHO.) I like your dialogue--it seems natural and flows easily. I didn't have any major bumps except in my understanding of what had come before! Suspenseful ending watching up the tension and leaving the reader wanting more.
